Has anyone just joined SW who would like to join in losing weight with me?

I'm in!! I enjoy SW food but I am really struggling to stay focussed and I only have 10 months until I get married!!!

FHM thats the best motivation for you. I have just had my 2nd child and am finding it hard to shift the pregnancy weight.
SW is not really known in ireland, but I really like the look of the diet. Its hard to believe you can eat so much and lose weight. But the class I went to hit 300 stone since November.

Are you finding you are cooking from stratch a lot more?

Yeah I do loads of meals from scratch now and although it can be expensive and time consuming sometimes, the food is always so tasty!

I am struggling to stick to it though, purely through laziness. I wish I had a personal chef, a personal trainer and I didn't have to work for a living!!

So would I but its mad how I realised I was eating so much cereal on the ww diet thinking I was being good. I did notice my shopping was a lot more expensive.

Will we do our food diarys here?

Yeah if you like!!

So far this morning I have had:

Two cups of Green Tea (with mango - it's actually not that bad)
a banana
A small bowl of All Bran


I've got Smash and Beans to look forward to for lunch (exciting!!) and an apple

2 slices ww bread with a banana
Mullerlight yoghurt

Chicken fillet
Mushrooms
Syn free chips

I am going to make mousakka for dinner

welcome chocasin, we are all in the same boat. I thought I had got the hang of this diet but I just looked up sw website for some dessert recipe and I found some which I cant understand why it has syns.

Maybe someone can help here it is

Chill out this summer with this fantastically-fruity low-Syn dessert!
Serves: 4
Syns per serving:
1½ Syns on Extra Easy, Green and Original
Preparation time:
approx 10 minutes plus freezing
567g/1lb 4oz strawberries
200g pot Strawberry Müllerlight Yogurt
A few drops vanilla essence
2 x 200g pots Vanilla Müllerlight Yogurt
2 tbsp artificial sweetener

I'll join you!
I signed up with SW online a few months ago but I'm struggling to get into it - I lost 2st last year with SW and felt great but couldn't keep attending the classes so stopped going. I was fine for 3 months then I went back on the pill (well, things were looking up!), and the entire 2st has piled back on.
I'm desperate to get this weight off again - I hope some online support will keep me motivated.

Can I join you please ? I re joined SW at the beginning of june but Ive just found this site and I really need some motivation to keep me on track.

I had brain surgery for the 2nd time in march so im still recovering from the effects of that...iv got vertigo/balance probs now and have to use crutches to get around at the moment so exercise other than my physio is non existent :sigh:

Im on a mission to lose as much as I can as my oh has promised me xmas in Mexico if I do well with the diet and work hard with the physio (slave driver lol :whip:;)) Im on week 7 and so far iv lost 16 lb but I need other people to talk to who are in the same boat as me in trying to fight the flab :eek:

Its because you have to puree some of the strawberries.....so they turn into syns then (the same as juices or smoothies) ;)

Ive got a really yummy recipe that I got at group a couple of wks ago for a fruit roulade that has only 1/2 syn for the whole cake if anyone would like it ?

I have had a terrible weekend which included lots of drink, an Indian Curry, a McDonalds, a Subway and a Chinese meal. :(

Can I join in too please :) I'm attempting to do it at home, can't get to class atm with the kids being off school, have 4 and they can't sit still for 5 mins! I weighed myself this morning and I've put on 7lbs since my last class in mid June :( Feel determined and motivated to stick with it!

Welcome to everyone new who joined. Trying my best to get into this diet. I find that a lot of recipes as using eggs and my dh is having a go at me saying I am having too many for health problems.

I didnt make it to my weigh in but weighed at home and lost 4lbs. I have been making a yummy mousse most nights that is 1.5 syns.

Its

Any flavour hartleys sugarfree jelly
2 egg whites
Any flavour mullerlight yoghurt
Artifical sweener

Whisk egg whites until stiff, add sweetner
Make up jelly with half suggested water(I sometimes make it with diet 7up for a fizzy bite)
Whisk in jelly and yoghurt to mixture
Allow to cool in fridge
Enjoy, I also put a frozen broken up curly wurly over it on the weekend.

Has anyone else had their weigh in?

I dont weigh in til tomorrow night, been a bit iffy with not eating enough this week with some tum probs....hoping for a loss tho :eek:
Theyve changed their minds now about eggs being bad for you tho havent they, Ive got high cholesterol and on meds for it,and the doc says eggs are fine as they now say the fat in eggs doesnt affect it???? they change things all the flipping time tho :mad: I eat about 4 eggs a day sometimes more.

Ive been having 4 squares of dairy milk from a 230g big bar on an evening....I synned it up at 6 syns (absolute heaven :D)
and made a virtually syn free fruit roulade for pud (1/2 syn for the whole cake) that is reallllly nice)

Can i join please. i joined sw 2 weeks ago and have lost 5 1/2 pounds so far, cat believe how much you are aloud to eat. My husband has also promised me a holiday in oct if i can lose the weight as he is sick of me going on about it!!lol.

Constantlydizzy can i have the recipe for the fruit roulade please as it sounds lovely.

Finding it hard to eat fruit or vegetable think I overdosed on it last week.

fruit Roulade 1/2 syn (the whole cake :D)
1 tub Quark
4 eggs
1 tsp Baking powder
4 Tbspn Sweetener
Vanilla essence
Fresh fruit (I used rasberry & peach)

Separate the eggs.

Add the yolks,half the quark, baking powder, sweetener & essence into a bowl, whisk together and set aside.

Whisk the egg whites til stiff. Whisk half into the mixture then fold in the other half.

Line a swiss roll tin with greaseproof paper (so it comes out easier) spray it with frylight. pour in the mixture and bake at 180 for 15-20 min.leave to cool.

In a dish add remaining quark, sweetener & essence & mix together.

Remove from the tin when cool and spread on the quark then add finely chopped fruits-roll the cake from one end and slice to serve......its reallllly yummy
If you want a 2 syn cream tasting addition get a tub of fat free GREEK YOGHURT and a sachet of white choc options and mix it up.....it tastes like cream (Honest :D) for 2 syns a big pot and you will prob only eat about 1/2 syn worth per serving;)
