Gunfire heard overnight in Burkina capital -  World News - MSN News UK
It got a bit twitchy yesterday afternoon - my OH got sent home from work and there were lots of rumours...but everyone went home and stayed there, and there were some negotiations.

I've got a feeling that this isn't over as there is a lot of discontent at the moment for various reasons - we'll see.

thanks Jax...I'm a slow and steady kind of girl - it's OK, it took a while to gain the weight - so I can't expect it to disappear overnight either (though if someone could make that happen I won't complain!!).

I've lost about a stone, another 3 to go at least, so me and my diary are here for the long haul!

Lunch was a bit of a mess, I was supposed to be at my weekly lunch meeting, but that was cancelled last minute following more unrest here. We leave for Europe on Sunday so there is practically nothing in the fridge, or freezer and I didn’t want to risk going out. Hence lack of superfree at lunch. Beans are almost a vegetable right????

I’m off on our annual leave to Europe, we’ll be in Maastricht (NL), North Berwick, Kidlington, Farnham, Markelo (NL) for the next 5 weeks. Relieved to be leaving Burkina with all the current tensions.

I won’t be following SW while I am away. I will be much more aware of what I am eating though…I hope to STS (optimistic) or at least not do so much damage as to be back at square one.

I will be stocking up on some SW friendly goodies to bring back! See you in May
