    Hi

I just wanted to know if headaches are common on the GI diet I started a sort of GI diet yesterday and had the worst headache - all I could do when I came in from work was to sleep it off.

Before starting this plan I did and do eat a lot of sugary food so is it my body having withdrawal symptoms?

    Thanks

I haven't had any problems with headaches, but I should imagine abrupt withdrawal of sugar could give you a cracking headache! I'm sure things will improve over the next couple of days.

Yes, I would agree with the sugar withdrawal being the cause of headaches. Ensure you are drinking plenty of water also :)

My word yes it can...I know because I had a withdrawal headache for about three days, I actually thought I was coming down with flu...like you all I wanted to do was sleep. Once that foggy headache lifts you normally find you have a lot more energy and you feel great. x x
