I've been getting heartburn each afternoon for a week or so now.

I thought it was because I was forgetting my dinner and having it around 4pm, but today I had it at 12 and I've got heartburn again

Can you take anything for it, gaviscon etc?
And why on earth am I getting it????

Have read of this and then maybe see your GP?Dyspepsia (Indigestion) | Health | Patient UK

I had H.Pylori (diagnosed after months of a constant feeling of vague mild nausea) and a quick dose of antibiotics sorted it you.

Thanks GG. I had heartburn crazily when I was pregnant. My dad has various issues with his stomach (h.pylori, oesophagitus, inflammation, reflux, ulcers etc etc etc) so prob take after him.

It's a shame really... so many people of that generation developed complications of ulcers like oesophagitis/gastritis etc because the ulcers were put down to "stress". Now they know the majority of those ulcers were caused by H.Pylori which is such an easy thing to diagnose and treat.

I feel your pain..I used to suffer with it really badly in the early days of CD and took Xantac without it affecting my losses.
