I don't know the official line on this but I split my heb's all the time, as long as it's half and half. I think it's not encouraged openly incase people get confused and have too much but to me 3 crackerbread and an Alpen light = I heb

I've done this on a regular basis like today. I had crackerbread and boiled egg for breakfast then my Alpen at 9pm. I don't appear to have any odd gains from doing this. I do this with my a choice too as I only have 1 cup of coffee a day so use the rest for cheese with my evening meal if I need to. I'm not sure if SW would recommend it but I personally don't think it's a bad thing.
