    Hi Everyone,

    I'm starting Slimming World tomorrow after being a total failure at the Cambridge not once but twice :sigh:

    Really looking forward to it as a diet where I can eat is def a diet for me ;)

    Quick question - I'm ordering my shopping tonight so what are the staples I need in my cupboard? I want to be prepared for it and want to order something while shopping online to keep me going. I work, so ideas for someting easy to take would be good.

    My cupboard staples are;

    Frylight
    Tinned tomatoes
    Passata
    Good varity of spices
    cajan spices (delicious on wedges)
    Stock cubes
    Tom puree
    Sugar free jelly!
    Always have beans and spagetti on hand too!

    I always think i'm alright so long as I've got a bag of salad in the fridge, and a stock of jacket potatoes and tins of tuna (in brine).

    Also, you're not a failure at the cambridge diet - this whole dieting lark is all about finding what works for you, not everyone suits every diet, so obviously cambridge just wasn't for you (and hopefully SW will be what you've been looking for!)

    Mug Shots (sweet & sour version)
    Pasta n Sauce (but these are synned - low syns though)
    Alpen lights (2 as a HEXB choice)
    Quorn mince
    Quorn sausages (cumberland flavour)
    eggs
    salad
    baking potatoes
    Sainsbury's Veggi Chilli (free)
    Tesco Light Choices chicken in a white sauce (1 syn for the whole tin)

    I keep these and all the others mentioned in for the days when it all goes wrong & I need to grab something fast.

    Best thing I did when I started was to buy the recipe books until you get into it properly.

    My staples are -
    Quorn mince, sausages, chicken pieces
    Fry light
    Eggs
    Stock cubes
    Loads of Veg and Fruit
    Fat free yoghurt
    Wholemeal bread
    Alpen lights
    Passatta
    Chickpeas/beans/lentils
    Baked beans

    In fact tesco due anytime with all of mine :)

    Thanks for all the replies - this is a fast moving board!

    Ordering my shop shortly and so will take on all the suggestions. I'll certainly buy the recipe book, sounds a good idea.
