Hello :)

Ha ha that sounds like my sort of day!

We have no idea where to go, any suggestions? It's only going to be a cheapy sun holiday, he's talking about Turkey Tunisia or Portugal, I haven't suggested anywhere yet as nowhere is jumping at me.

Havn't been to Portugal or Tunisa, have been to Turkey several times pre-children, it's get's very hot, so you might wanna take that into consideration with the wee man. I suppose nows the time the free child places offers are on & it might be worth looking at all inclusives places. Check potential weather & for kids clubs, ha ha I always avoided staying at these places pre-kids but now they're essential.

We usually do the same thing every year, infact it's booked since October, we only have to pay for ryanair flights, we go for 2weeks to France to stay with my inlaws (I know not everyones cuppa tea) & the last 2yrs we've added a 3day trip to Legoland, Windsor in September.

Ah we're one of the few with nice in laws! I remember u going to legoland last year..I want to go now!

I will prob let the other half sort it, I had a little look last night but my geography is appalling and could have been looking at a 7hour flight thinking it was 2!

Lost 3lb on the scales this week, thank you sickness bug!! Head is now back in the game so let's see what the week brings!

Good luck today xx

Wow 3lbs,lovely,really spur you on!! Ha ha my hubby says my geography brutal,I refer to things not being "too" faraway, "sure it's only inches on the map" :)

Weigh-in this afternoon & I've woke up feeling bloated :( Hate weighing in on Mondays.

Inches on the map! :D

How did u get on yday?

I managed the whole day yday to only have 6 syns which I'm pretty pleased with. Going to the cinema this weekend hopefully so trying to be good all week so I can have a hot dog and stuff my face with popcorn whilst I'm there!

Can't decide on dinner tonight, I want a big bowl of stew, but my cooking and my expectations are not one and the same!

I had a STS, so not really surprised coz of the over-synnage, so new week, doing abit of batch cooking, making SW kebab & a chicken chorizo veg concoction & pasta & meatballs, that'll get me through the week. My group was jammers again, loads of new joiners, one fella lost 12.5lbs his first week, imagine, guaranteed now he is a large bloke but 12.5lbs is AMAZING:eek:

My favourite thing is sitting in dark at the cinema & munching my way through a whole family size share bag of Aldi chilli nachos, 75c, I'm a cheap date :D Been swapping these for 2 hifi rocky road bars & chickatees corn snacks to lower the synnage.

Have you a slow cooker for the stew??They turn out lovely & not much to them, I just bung everything in & switch it on, so far so good.

I start work experience on Monday so have to get me life more organised

Crap crap crap, my day has been awful, I've had cookies wine gums and macdonalds.... Guess it's sort of lucky it's a ties so have a long time to fix it before weighing again, I dont know what happened I was being good, then became a scoff Monster!

Oo what sort of work experience? Ita on the cards for me to start looking for another job soon and I'm cringing at the thought of it! I hate change!

I do have a slow cooker, but nothing turns out as good as I picture, I might have to get my mum to give me a cooking course!

Again those kebabs sound good! What do u have them with to make a full meal?

And a sts is alway better than a gain so woo! Xx

Ah we all have "scoff monster" days don't beat yourself up, at least it near the start of the week, you can still have a good week :)

I'm training in childcare, it's one of the few jobs that would fit in around my kids. I fancy a 9.30-12.30, Mon-Fri, childcare assistant type job, Sept-June, whether I get one is another thing, my town is small & abit cliquey so we'll see. I have to clock up 120hrs of unpaid work experience to qualify. I'm looking forward to starting it, even though it's daunting, I've been a sahm for nearly 9yrs.

Have a look at Chocko's recipe thread, she does great recipes, sometimes slow-cooker ones.

The kebab I usually have with salad, wholemeal pitta & some peri peri sauce, sometimes chips or if I have the syns I'll have two pittas, no chips.

The chicken chorizo & veg was fab with SW chips, I did a chilli sauce, lovely belly warmer meal :D

I'm having a "last supper" coffee morning tomorrow, as it'll be me last chance for 6 weeks to sit & gossip with my gal pals.

Corr I'm really struggling this week!

That job sounds perfect, I wish I had even a glimpse of hope if one of them but I've got nothing on my cv child related and the amount of mums that go for it I'd be last on the list :(

I've actually got to up my hours in the near future and go full time, which I cried at as I won't be able to do the pick up from school when he starts in sept, I hate being a grown up sometimes!

Can't get my butt in gear this week, need to get a grip from today if I've any hope for the scales on Monday! How was your last supper?! Xx

I'm having an ok week foodwise but the week is young, I find weekends are hard & I've been so busy so far this week organising this work placement I've had no time for snacking which blows the syns away.

It's taking me 3yrs to get this qualification & was a bit of a drudge at times, not guaranteed a job but it's kinda one of the only ones that would fit around the kids so here's hoping. I'll bombard the town with cv's once I'm done. The thought of 120hrs of unpaid work placement is killing me but a neccessary evil.

That's brutal you have to up your hours, is there any way around it? Do your sums, will the cost of childcare not eat through the extra hours? Childcare is so expensive here that it's never been feasable for me.

Last supper was kinda ruined by migraine I couldn't really enjoy it.

I promised myself to do a bit of body magic this week, have done diddly squat.

No real advice on having a good week (I don't have a grea ttrack record) but I think organising & planning is key so maybe put together a meal plan for the rest of the week, thats my plan anyway :)

Oh that's a bugger, migraines are relentless aren't they.

Yeah I do need to sit down with a calculator and work out every single scenario, my parents have just popped round and said they may be able to help for a short while so we shall see.

I'm bulk cooking and meal planning today for the rest of the week, I want a lb off! I'm even doing a exercise DVD later Woo!

120 hours unpaid is ridiculous! I can't even get an hour free to myself let alone do that! Or if I did I'd prob be too selfish to give it up!! Lol x

Yeah it would be great if your parents could help, but definately try crunch the numbers coz sometimes its just not worth it.

The 120hrs is a pain but needs to be done & as its a small town it'll be great for a reference when I go looking for job.

Just had beef kebab for lunch, twas fab, yeah I think a few meals batch cooked & plans are a great saviour. Anything nice planned??

Evening, so I've managed 2 days in a row to be under syns, have very plain meals planned, savoury rice, spag Bol, cottage pies etc, was trying to do stuff that little man eats too to save cooking loads.

Wahoo it's Friday! How's ure day been? X

Well I've been managing to keep within my syns so far this week, but I do tend to use them all. Your meals sound lovely & even btter if everyone can eat the same:)

I lost 2lb! Wooo! It's our anniversary today though and we went for a meal where I paid no attention to slimming world so I've got my work cut out for the rest of the week :s

Oo what show are u seeing? We went to a place called The Meat House and it was all steak, ribs, burgers, lamb shanks, chops etc.. if it's meat, it's on the menu.. I had mini sliders, had BBQ pulled pork, lamb burger and pork and chorizo sausage, all in buns, except, they weren't mini at all! And it came with chips. And there was chocolate brownie after! I felt uncomfortably full after! Lol

I plan to have syn free meals all week so it's only snacking to worry about, taking little man swimming on sat and if I've had a good week I'll feel much more confident than that dreadful feeling when u feel all self-conscious after eating naughty!

Well done on losing 2lb.. Bloody good feeling isn't it! X

OMG carnivore heaven, sounds delish :gimi: Sounds like a good plan for the rest of the week, spurred on my your 2lb loss. I'm batch cooking today to cover us for the week. Eldest is sick so I'm home today, had a busy first day at the creche yesterday, hope to get back there tomorrow.

We're going to see "Seven brides for seven brothers", afternoon matinee followed by dinner :D Looking forward to it.

Oh yeah it was your 1st day of the 120 hours, how was it? Hope it went well!

Yes to batch cooking it may be repetitive but it's so much easier than having to cook from scratch every evening, especially if ure going to be working now! What are you making?

Wee that is next on my reading list! A few months ago I realised how few of the old classics I'd actually read so I'm working my way through them, I'm on Wethering heights ATM, can't seem to get into it though. Have restarted it loads!

Well it was easy enough as Monday is one of days parents chose for parental leave, so Mondays & Fridays are the quieter days. We had five 2-3yr olds, I had a biter in the first 5mins, which shocked me a bit, but I managed to stop him before he could do the damage. Mingled with the other groups & staff in the afternoon, they were in two minds whether i was "entitled" to a break  due to the hours I was doing, so I just had 2 quick 10min tea breaks, I'll clarify this with the manager tomorrow. As I said to my sister, I enjoyed the work, kids were lovely, but I really don't miss the b!tchiness & politics of the workplace. So even though I've only done 6hrs, it has soooo made me appreciate the situation I have at home. I had a mad busy afternoon then, wentto SW, its soo busy with new memeber it lasted ages, then I did a lidl shop, then home, starving, got see youngest for 10mins to dress her for Beavers before she was whisked away. Mini-Issy then sat on my lap for awhile, when they're sick they just want mammy, so my hat is well & truely off to all the working mothers, coz God knows how y'all do it, must be super duper organised:D

I'm gonna make a beef mince chilli con carne, chicken/chorizo stew thingy, might stick that in the slow cooker, chicken fried rice & mushy pea curry, can use that with quorn or whatever. Do a batch of BBQ sause as I'm all out & a batch oh hummus for tonites munchies, lasts me a day or tow with carrots to dip.

Havn't been able to read a book for ages now, Hubby got me a kindle last year, barely touched it & I always get books outta the library but return them unread.
