Help! Asda Dahl

I am sure I saw a thread about the asda dahl being free - which one is it and where in asda will i find it? is it in a tin?

And...somebody posted a recipe to turn it into a loaf, can anybody tell me where to find it

Yep, tins of ASDA chickpea dhal are free on gree - found near the tinned meat / meatballs etc (NOT tuna...it took me ages to find it the first time!)

The asda chickpea dahl is in a tin and is free, as is the Sundar tin.
It will be with pulses, beans, peas etc I think!

The recipe should be in the recipe sub forum, if you do a search it will come up.

When i bought it, it was next to canned peas carrots etc, i didnt like it, though i think im the only one as everyone raves about it.

I think it's pretty bland, but if you're after a quick meal it'll fill a hole

The loaf receipie in case you can't find it is:

1 tin of chick pea dahl
1 packet of savoury rice (made as per instructions and allowed to cool)
4 beaten eggs

Mix together, put into tin (sprayed with frylight/lined) and bake at about gas mark 6 for 45mins-1hr.

Just be careful - the Sainsbury's chick pea dahl tin is about 14syns!
