Help! Exercise points???

    Hi everyone,
    Im wondering if anyone can help, iv been the gym today done 40mins on treadmill power walking at different intervals and on speed 7 i burnt 260calories and the distance was 2 1/2miles. Im also going to do 2.5mile bike ride
    I dont usually use my activity points but its TOTM now and i need some chocolate later :) thanks in advance

    Hi Carly

    Points gained is based on how much you weigh, how long you exercised for and whether you consider the intensity to be low medium or high. At your start weight of 133 lb (9.5 stone) for 40 mins at medium intensity it would be 2 points and if you consider it high intensity it would be 5 points. My leader says only you know whether it is medium or high - it's whether you were absolutely spent and couldn't do any more or whether there was a bit more exercise left in you. I'm thinking that if you were considering a bike ride then you were at medium intensity. Again bike ride points would depend on how long and how much effort you put in. I hope that helps a bit!!

    Ohh i see,i was kinda hoping it was like the 40cal point rule but reverse so 80calorie choc bar = 2point
    Burning 80calories =allowed to eat 2points extra!! Haha
    Oh well
    Iv been at work all day today and i was tired when i went the gym so it definately wasnt high density.
    Dreading weigh in tuesday then altho iv not gone over my weeklies at all and iv been the gym 3times ill still prob put on because of TOTM i did last month anyway!

    Oh well - at least you know now - and you went out there and did something which is better than doing nothing!! Good luck with the weigh in - next week is a new week!
