    Hi guys

I thought I'd 'vent' because I'm gettin really angry at myself at the moment.

    Right

Since week 4 (I'm now in week eight) by measurements haven't changed at all! According to my weigh in on sunday I've lost 16lbs in those 3 weeks. So....shouldn't my measurements be changing too? I'm SO annoyed as I wanted to wear a certain pair of jeans for Friday night as I'm going out with friends and they aren't gunna fit (they are only 2ins smaller than what I was wearing in week 4!:wave_cry:

Also, as some of you already know, I'm permanently attached to my scales WHICH I kno I shouldn't be buuuut, my weight varies HUGELY between the morning and evening. e.g. today I got on the scales before work and I was 6lbs lighter than I am now at 5.50pm. Am I seriously carrying 6lbs of water inside me! It just seems mad.

ANNND on top of all this I feel bloated

Gonna be hard on you ............

Put the scales away ther eis no point checking your weight 3 or 4 times day as you kno it will change. Try to go for once a week or at least twice a week. Also stop fretting about the jeans - they will fit in time.

This diet does work and your measurements will show a difference eventually. Don't forget ti takes time for our bodies to catch up on all of this weight loss. Hang on in there remeber this is a long term solution and if you are to succeed you need to persevere and also NOT WI every day.

Yep it is possible to easily carry 6lbs of water around unfortunately, ive been addicted to the scales in the past and was frequently stunned by the variations. Really havent got the answers for you about your inches but please dont let it stop the work you are doing. 16lbs is a great loss, your body will catch up honest.

Seriously - throw the scales out. Not only do I not have scales I often go a few weeks where I ask not to be told my weight loss. There's nothing more disheartening than ss-ing all week only to lose 0.5lb - but what more can anyone do than SS? If you're ss-ing and not slipping the weight will come off - it's that simple - so having lots of negative thoughts about being 6lbs lighter in the morning compared to the evening will just mess with your head!!! You're doing great but you are making it harder for yourself with all the weighing.

I only say all this 'cos that's EXACTLY what I do if I have scales. Even now if I go to friends' houses it takes all my willpower not to jump on!

Personally I'm not going to ever get scales - I'll go to my local chemist and weigh myself there once a week - or go to Boots - my friend works in retail and told me that they have to have their calibrated every 3 months so they're pretty reliable.

Anyway, your losses are FAB! I have found that I will go weeks with no discernable difference and then all of a sudden inches drop off - bet that happens to you too! :)

I totally understand your frustrations, hun but don't forget that you lose weight inbetween the bits that you measure.

You are getting slimmer, cos you're losing lbs - so it's just a matter of time before you slip into those jeans.

Keep at it - it'll happen.
