I have lent the latest magazine and all my recipes to my boss as he has just started SW but I need the recipe that was in the latest magazine for the sweet chilli chicken which used Harissa powder. Does anyone have it please?

Thanks in advance

As far as I know, Harissa is a spicey, tomatoey blend of spices that is often added to a small amount of oil or water to make a paste of it to flavour or marinate meats.
If you like spicey food, you can either buy that from middle eastern/asian markets or simply use a tbsp of tomato paste, 1/4tsp cinnamon, 1tsp extra hot chili powder (more or less according to desired heat),1 tsp corriander powder, 1/2 tsp salt and pepper some water or olive oil to get the consistency desired to marinate. the rest of the ingredients in the recipe will complete the harissa ingredients.

You could buy the paste from any large supermarket, I know tesco has it:
Find Harissa in Tesco | mySupermarket

I've looked in all the supermarkets and cant find Harissa podwer only the paste, it is available online, I haven't checked specialist ingredients shops though.

I used the paste and it was lovely still :D

thanks I'll try to get the paste from Tesco, but I live in a small market town, so won't hold my breath. If not, I'll just leave it out and see what happens.

If it helps ,I left it out as could not find paste or powder and it was fabulous. Cetainly one to do again.
If you give it a try hope you enjoy it.
