Help!

I'm so stuck I don't know what to do. I have done really well over the years with points and now pro points, but I can't stick to a thing this last few months, and I'm now 11 pounds heavier and thoroughly miserable!!

I cancelled my ww membership and started calorie counting. It's just not working for me. I've bought slimbombs and other diet pills....nope. Today I was talking to a colleague who looks fab and turns out she's doing Exante meal replacement so on the way home I went and bought a few days of slim fast and was going to order my £100 starter pack tomorrow....

I feel desperate, I probably won't stick to shakes as my job and lifestyle require ridiculous hours and lots of travel, hence the weight gain as started getting more take aways after a late night in the office.

I'll stop rambling, do I try Exante or dust the last few months off, accept my gain and start pointing again straight away? None of my clothes fit, help!!

hi hun i know where ur coming from i tried every diet under the sun all of them worked when i managed to stick to them :eek: but i personally think the "diet drinks" are ok short term for a quick fix if ur going on holiday but for long term loss (and keeping it off) i do think the plans like w/w, s/w and rosemary conley are the best plans to follow (only my opinion) have a read of the success diaries on here there are a lot of us that have struggled for years to lose the weight but something has finally clicked and we have managed to get there in the end. what ever you decide to do good luck xx

Thank you....I know you're right, I need to stop chasing a 'quick fix' and just start afresh with something that works. I lost 3 stone with ww originally so I know I can do it. New start as from tomorrow....may start a food diary or something so I've got a new focus :) thanks again x

I'm 11.4.5 and 5.6 so if you want a buddy I'll help :) out of curiosity what size are you? I'm coming to terms with my new size lol!

How much do you want to lose? I'm wanting to get to 10st eventually unless a baby comes along lol

I'm a big 12 at the moment, if I'm honest I'm a size 14 as none if my clothes fit!! My goal is 10 stone too!

Hey!! How much have u got ti loose? I personally couldn't do a meal replacement diet I Like my grub too much lol but I agree it's not gonna be a quick fix to loose weight its hard work n doesn't happen overnight. Iv lost 2 stone 2 pounds on WW in 8 weeks so it really does work : ) xx

I've just updated my stats, I have 15 pounds to go til my goal of 10 stone. I agree with you, I am not doing the meal replacement, I am just swallowing my pride and drawing a line under the last few months. Today is the start of my final weight watchers journey!

Thats a fab loss so far, well done you! x

hi i have struggled since xmas to get back into the swing of pp diet, just kept failing and have gained everything i previously lost, what i have decided to try is hypnothery for weight loss, its not a hypnoband its a way of understanding y u eat and the hypnotherapist then helps u to get out of that way of eating, u still need to diet properly ie w/w and change ur lifestyle, although i have only had 1 session of hypnotherapy, i have this week not eaten like i used to and have found it easier to say no to food. hypnotherapy works differently for different people and some it may not work for, but i have found a local hypnotherapist at a health food shop and she charges £50 a session, for me this is cheaper than wasing my money on diet pills and quick fix diets that dont work, and worth a try!

Hi, I'd just like to say well done for not choosing the meal replacement diet. I like many have tried them all exante, Cambridge, celebrity slim, slimfast, diet chef, etc. It's scary to think how much money I've wasted. Meal replacement diets to work for some but for me it's not sustainable, I just got so lethargic and hungry (even when I was in ketosis) that I ended up having mammoth carb feasts & undoing my hard work. I always put the weight back on & more. I now have boxfalls of meal replacement shakes to flog on a well known auction site lol. I love WW, it's sustainable, I can have my treats, eat real food & lose weight. I had my 3rd weigh in last night & lost another 3lb :) I know the weight losses will slow down but hey even if it's 1/2lb per week at least it's coming off & not going on. I'm enjoying the plan as it's teaching me portion control & learning to pick the right foods but still able to live life & socialise. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do just grand x

Thanks so much everyone - I am feeling more motivated just today than I have in the last few months put together!

Someone at work said about hypnotherapy recently, I might have a look in to that - let me know how you get on with it :)
