i was taught to catch myself just b4 i start mindlessly eating and sit with the emotions. I never knew why i would sabotage myself with crap i didnt want as I would numb myself with food b4 the emotion driving me to do it even surfaced properly. now i know...from just sitting down...not having the food and letting my mind wander that i gorge on crap cos i dont feel worthy of success. i dont want any atention drawn to me and my self esteem in general is rubbish.

this might not work for you as we all eat for different reasons but for me it is a numbing thing and a reason to keep punishing myself. its worth a try just sitting and letting everything surface. it takes a fair few tries to really get to the bottom of it but if it works for you, then u will learn stuff about urself and if it doesnt...try something else. It didnt matter how many times i tried to think of all the reasons i wanted to be slim...i would push it from my mind and eat rubbish but learning to do it this way has identified a lot of emotional issues i need to resolve. everyone is different though so i hope u find the way forward for you. xxxxxxxx

Hi cyber_girl,

Coming off a vlcd and eating high carb foods does make it very difficult to jump back on the wagon as it is like going cold turkey.

For today cut out all carbs and eat only protein and non starchy veggies and have your packs as well.

The protein will help curb your appetite and the non starchy veggies will help you feel full, do this for a couple of days cutting down the portion size and you will ease back into ketosis instead of going cold turkey....it does work.
