    I have recently found out about lighter life, I have had food issues for over 20 years. I have tried all of the other options on and off they work for a bit then my old habits return

    Im really annoyed as I want to do this, I suddenly feel like there is hope for me,

    So why am I sitting with the counsellors number in my hand too scared to call!!!!

    Talk about teetering on the brink....

    Hi hun - just call!

    I faffed around for a couple of weeks too - it seems like such a scary thing to do but do it, get it over with, go visit your counsellor then you can get started the rest of your life!

    Just do it! lol

    Make the call hun, the sooner you do the sooner you'll be on your journey.

    I'm just into my 3rd week, and I'm glad I finally bit the bullet. Hearing everyones stories on here is the inspiration you'll need to get through the first few days, then you'll be flying :)

    Oh my....I remember feeling the same.

    Have you ever read that book 'eat that frog'

    There's an old saying that if the first thing you do in the morning is to eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that it's probably the worst thing you'll do all day.

    Just get it over with and then you can relax knowing that you've done it. You've made that first move and you are on the road.

    Do it now! :) You'll be so pleased.

    I say here 12 months ago some 11.5 stone heavier than I am now.

    I had the number on a post it from a girl I worked with.

    I was undecided.......

    Glad I did and so will you be!

    Go ahead make that call and make your day!!! you probably havent done it yet for a couple of reasons1) fear of the unknown!! 2) panic !! because you actually believe this is really something that WILL work. Be strong, so glad i did 8 weeks ago and i am now 2.5 stone lighter!!and loving it!!

    Hi Nibbea

    You've got to do the research - I spent about a month doing mine and when you do make the call you will have the butterflies. But believe me, it will be the best thing you have ever done in your life.

    If somebody had told me that I wouldn't have believed them also having issues for over 20 years with food and I stand in front of the mirror astounded as to what is happening to me and all in 14 weeks which really isn't a long time at all.

    Give them a call hun and start the ball rollin - best thing you'll ever do.

    thanks everyone....I finally called and spoke to one counsellor who passed me to another closer then a third.

    I am going to an information day on sunday, where there will be a doctor who can sign necessary forms and then start on 18th of this month.

    I feel liberated almost, thank you all for your support. My weight is such an emotive issue...now I cant wait to get started.

    Well done Shona! I`ve been on LL for just over 11 weeks now, am 35lbs lighter with 21 or so to go. It`s the best thing I`ve done in my life in a long time. But as important (if not more so) than the weight loss is the counselling. As the weeks go by you will value it more and more. I am absolutely determined to keep the weight off now becacuse I am learning why I got this way in the beginning.
    Go for it and if you have any questions, come on here and ask them, this forum has cetainly helped me a lot.
    You are all great!!!

    I made my 1st appointment in August and cancelled as I was nervous,then I remade 1 and waited a while to start.I have just completed my 1st week,with 18 years of yoyo dieting this HAS to be the one for me.
    You made the right move and we look forward to hearing how you get on

    I think i sat with the phone number on my desktop for 6mths (oops) but now i am 12days into LL i SO wished i had got off me A*** so much sooner.

    You wont regret it
