Hi all! Candy's weight loss journey!

    Hi all, I'm a newbie and wanted to start using this forum as a support system, as my willpower is terrible!

    When I was younger (not that I'm old now mind-only 27!!) I could eat virtually whatever I wanted and not gain any weight whatsoever, but since having my two beautiful little girls and heading firmly away from my teens (sigh!) I have found that I put weight on astonishingly quickly. This time last year I was a svelte 8 and a half stone and a size 10, now however I am 9 stone 11 lbs and pushing a size 14, which is a shock as i've always been around an 8/10.

    So, I'm giving myself 4 months to get down to my goal weight of 8 stone 10 lbs which would make me (hopefully!!) a comfortable size 10 (which would also mean the majority of my clothes will fit me again and I can stop wearing the same old pair of size 14s day in day out!!). My weigh in day was wednesday which was when I weighed in at 9 stone 11 lbs. I've been doing really well since then and so far not craving anything really-even forgoing my evening wine and chocolate treat which I tend to indulge in most evenings :rolleyes: . Diet wise I'm just trying to calorie count and watch the fat content of the foods I'm eating, exercise wise I used to be a keen runner and have just starting running again, or making sure I do plenty of walking.

    Good luck to everyone else, will post WI results on wednesday! Will quite probably be posting before then begging for someone to talk me out of eating that cake that's sat in the cupboard! :p

    Nice to see you here, im sure you will achieve what you want here. Its such a friendly place with lots of support. Once you get connected to other wieghers your never alone.

    If you are using this thread as your daily diary or wiegh day diary i would copy the address bar into your signature. That way anywhere you post people can see your journey too:) I found that i didnt keep very accurate loss in my first few weeks and will always regret it. It was so handy to have the loses and goals in my signature. It always reminds me that im lossing or ive lost and thats the main thing.:):)
