Hi am new :) and help please!

    Hi all
    I love slimming world and have done it very successfully in the past. A few years ago I was ill with ME and although I've lost a bit of weight, I'm finding it much, much harder than I did before to shed the pounds :sigh:
    I don't have a class near me and online is too expensive at the moment so am really pleased to have found this site :D
    My first challenge feels pretty steep but I've just tried my riding boots on for a show at the end of the month and I'm in danger of cutting off all circulation and losing a leg if I don't lose a bit of weight :eek::D I know not to look for quick fixes and want a steady loss long term but are there any tips for getting off to a quick start?
    I mainly cook from scratch and don't like ready meals etc.
    Have already picked up some good ideas just from reading through posts on here before I joined, thanks :)

    Welcome to Minimins :D Hope you find all the info you need on here, everyone is so so friendly and helpful, don't know what I would do without this site for support! lol.

    In terms of trying to speed up weightloss, I would say plenty of fruit and veg, especially superspeed like berries, and plenty of water. Also lots of people have been trying fish weeks as fish apparently helps speed up weight loss. There seem to have been some good results. I'm sure you can find lots of other ideas all over the place here.
