    Hi, I'm new to the forums, I'm Jay from Liverpool and I just can't really carry on the way I am any more without sounding melodramatic. I'm 18 years old and I weigh 13 and a half stone. I just need all the advice I can get on just how to lose weight. I can't do it by myself I just don't have the motivation and it's pretty much destroying my social life to the point where I'm beginning to consider that my girlfriend deserves somebody better looking. If there's any advice you can possibly give me I'd be really really grateful.

    Ok. I'm assuming you're male? So you don't need to lose much to be a healthy weight then. My recommendation would be to download a good calorie tracking app, like My Fitness Pal, and using it to plan and record what you eat each day. If you limit yourself to around 1,500-1,800 calories a day, that should enable you to healthily drop your weight. :)

    Yeah I'm a male! And that's good to hear! I'm just really unhappy with my shape and I've never really done any form of exercise so I wouldn't really know where to begin! Where about would I go to download your Calorie Tracker app? Sounds extremely convenient and helpful!

    Hi Jay! If you have a smartphone, just go to the Apple Store or Play Store, and download it for free. Or Google it if you're on a PC. it's great - most of the calorie counters on here use it. :)
