Hello fellow SWers.
I'm off to France on Friday and am a bit worried about what i can eat. Is there an equivalent of Quark and any zero percent fat product.?
I heard that fromage blanc isa bit like quark but where can I getit?
In my experience the supermarkets there don't do a lot of low fat food.
In the past ,it's been pate, cheese and lovely french bread at lunch and more at dinner,And that's before we get onto dessert. not to mention wine!
Any suggestions most welcome. I will be taking some stuff but space is at a premium. As it is Imight get stopped at customs with my sweetener!
:)

We go to France every year and I admit my plan goes out of the window but I usually only put a couple of pound on in 2 weeks (and wine is drunk every night). We self cater and eat a lot of barbies and salad. You can get low fat yoghurts but I dont bother with them. I think you can get fromage blanc in the supermarkets but not sure if its low fat or not (think you may need to check the french for "low fat" so you are prepared when looking)

Sorry to have been no help but I hope you really enjoy your holiday. Whereabouts are you going?

other than trusty salads, im not sure. French onion soup is nice but ask them not to dunk the bread and cheese in. To be honest, if i was on hols, id give myself a food holiday. saying that, id eat fruit for breaky, a light salad lunch and something steaky and salady for tea with the odd fromage and bread treat.

If you have a look the sub forum about slimming world abroad there is a france thread-in sure if you posted the question in their thread, one of the lovely people on there could tell you, as they live in France :) HTH
