honeymoon - any ideas?

We are planning our honeymoon for april next year and really unsure where to go.... prob be caribean ... anywhere hot, far away, beach, pool.... done!!!
Anyone got any good suggestions? id like to go to the maldives but bit worried about being on the water all the time....

Im going to scarborough lol Can't be doing with flying, Im a wuss lol. Caribbean would be a nice choice and what about the quieter parts of ibiza. Everywhere Id like to go abroad isn't really hot so im useless lol. Ideally Id go to New Zealand or Canada for my honeymoon

We went to New York as my husband doesnt like the sun!!! We had a fab time tho, and when i have lost the weight i want to loose we are gonna book another trip! x

How about Mexico? Cheaper than the Carribean, still has white sand beaches if you go to the right parts.

I mentioned something to my boyfriend about my ideal HM and now he's totally stuck on the idea and won't budge.

A week in Vegas followed by a week in Hawaii, Mexico or Cuba. Goodness knows how much it'll cost but I'll worry about that later. For now, my priority is getting the diamond in the first place!

I am going to Kenya on Safari and then Zanzibar for a week of sunshine!

I would recommend Cuba (went there last Oct) as its truly amazing - best beaches ever!!! greeny blue sea - OMG its fab. I could let you know the hotel i went to if you want just PM me.

Maldives would be superb. Friends of mine recommend St Lucia too.

I went to the Maldives and OMG, it was amazing!!! We could walk around the island in around 10 minutes, totally secluded!! Was absolute paradise. Do you mean being on the water as in the huts or as in small island?? because there are bigger islands and also beach bungalows as well as water huts - we stayed in both and I actually preferred the beach bungalows - we had our own secluded garden with an outside bathroom, jaquzzi and daybed ...... Ahhhh I want to go back!!!!

Anywhere you go on your honeymoon will be fab anyway!! ;-)

We went to Kenya on our honeymoon, safari and beach - nice! Maldives is brillant - I thought I would get bored but lying in the water watching all the fish was amazing.

A couple of other thoughts for you - Thailand is amazing and is still my number one place for a beach holiday - Khao Lak, Koh Samui (avoid Phuket maintown). You could do a bit of culture first in Bangkok or even Hong Kong and then hit the beach. Alternatively Sri Lanka - great beaches, excellent food and really nice people. Prices are reasonable as well.

I had better stop now before suggesting more places! I'm off to India in October for three weeks - cannot wait!!!

Cuba is absolutely beautiful, I went there in 2008 and loved it!

However, I went to Mexico last year though for my best friend's sisters wedding and it was gorgeous there too - Cuba and Mexico are very similar in someways, however Cuba appeared to be a lot more 'untouched' by commercialism and was naturally very beautiful in the area I went to compared to where we went in Mexico which was a lot more built up.

We got married in Jamaica & i agree - its a brilliant laid back place perfect for a honeymoon.

How about Cape Town?...its hot in April, far away and is surrounded by sea and lots more to do. Food amazing and people are very friendly.

Cuba is beautiful and more reasonably priced then any of the other carribean islands. We went on a European road trip for month and visited Paris, south of France, Portofino, Milan, Venice, through Switzerland, Belgium and holland. It was amazing.

Were planning Thailand next April for our anniversary as I have always wanted to go. Can't wait.
