Most of us (me included) really seem to struggle in actually seeing the change in the mirror.
Just wanted to say, I really am starting to see it now!
The thing that set it off really was a haircut and a new top which was different to what I usually wear. All of a sudden the person in the mirror looked nothing like me and I was able to see her as others do. From the outside looking in if you know what I mean.
Yesterday I had an unexpected day off! Lifes a bit hectic and I don't pay enough attention lol, I had dropped Hannah off at the childminder and tried to sign on at work only to find it was the holiday rofl. Among other things I took the opportunity to have my bust properly measured. I was wearing 38B which I knew was nothing near right for me, and was doing nothing for me. Turns out much to my shock I'm a 32D!! I didn't believe her until I put them on and they fitted in a way a bra has never fitted me lol! What a difference to my figure. I then went to matalan and bought some more undies and a new pair of SIZE 10 jeans ! I never thought I'd see the day lol. I think they are probably a stretchy 10, but still... I'm a 32D bust and a size 10-12 I'm happy with that and I'm slowly getting used to seeing that 'normal' looking woman looking back at me from the mirror!
So my tips to help you see yourself from the outside looking in....
1.first of all have your bust measured and get a bra that fits it really makes a difference.
2. Do something different with your hair, it has to be quite drastic so it doesn't look like you! You don't necessarily need it cut but a wash out hair coulour or a wacky up style if you have it long, or spiky if you have it short. Something you can change back if you want lol.
3. Go to the shop and try stuff on you wouldn't normally. I tried dresses on yesterday and they looked ok, didn't buy any though...I'm a jeans gal lol!
If you really can't see it, trust the scales, a tape measure and your closest friends whose opinions you trust. Believe me you really can't lose even one stone without a few inches going too!
Relax in the knowledge that if you can't see it yet, you will be able to see it hopefully sooner rather than later.
