How do I point rice

    I am having boiled rice with prawns but I don't know how to point the rice. Do I point it before its cooked (dry weight) or after?

    You can do it whichever way you like hon :)

    White rice, easy cook, dried - 7pp per 60g
    White rice, easy cook, cooked - 6pp per 150g

    Thanks. I was never sure as once its cooked it weighs more so more points. Will do it on the dry weight. :)

    If you're making yourself it's definitely easier on the dried weight. But if I'm eating at someone else house or at a restaurant obviously you don't get that opportunity. ;) But bear in mind that's for white easy cook rice. Rice tends to vary between 5pp and 8pp for 60g uncooked depending on the type ie basmati, brown, easy cook white. So if you know the specific type let me know and I'll look it up for you. :)

    Cripes I'm even more confused now...hmm..

    eSource is saying Asda boil in the bag long grain rice is 5pp per 125g bag...and the same weight of Asda basmati boil in the bag is 12pp??

    Not sure what would cause such a huge difference...I didn't think basmati rice was over twice as many points. They both definitely say per 125g bag...
