I plan my evening meals for the week and write them down and stick them on the fridge so I know what my biggest chunk of points will be each day and then mostly fudge it around that.

I do try to keep at least 3 unallocated points back for emergency evening snackage.

I have 21 a day I started on 24 and boy do I miss the point when I go down a stone bracket
Breakfast 3-4
Lunch 6
Dinner 7
Milk 1
3-4 snacks or save

I divide the three meals in ascending points value: breakfast 2 lunch 3 dinner 5, skimmed milk 1, fruit 3 and 2 for treats xx

I have 21 roughly i have:
Brekkie - 3pts
Lunch - 5pts
Tea - 10pts
Snacks - 3pts

i use 5 points for breakfast to give me some energy,if i had less than that i wouldn't have any get up and go in me, then 5 points for dinner and tea is usually 6 points and the 2 points left is fruit. x
