How do you liven things up a bit?

Just wondering what you all do to liven up the soups and stuff sometimes. I've just added pepper and rosemary to the leek and potato and it's yum. Trying to find other ideas!
 
I add a pinch of curry powder to the chicken and mushroom soup. Yummy! :)
 
I've got my family coming round for dinner next week and for my desert I'm planning to put some banana mix-a-mousse in a nice glass and top with some slices of toffee malt bar. Think I'll have a SS+ meal for my main but not sure yet.

I've stopped getting the porridge but always used to add nutmeg or cinnamon. and I like having a vanilla shake with coffee in it.
 
I also use the curry in chicken & Mush and Mush soup...
Paprika is nice to as is ground pepper.
I also use nutmeg and cinamon on my warm shakes.
Some folks on here mix packs half and half to make interesting mousses and shakes...
You could try choc/ banana, choc/ strawberry,
i also have cinamon on my plain porridge

I am a real plain Jane, just black pepper on my chicken and mushroom soup. I don't make any other changes. Very boring!
 
Crushed dried chillies and curry powder in the soups, to give them a real kick x
