Hey beautiful ladies (and any beautiful men) :)

Sorry, I bet this has been asked a million times before but if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

I'm just unsure about how many calories to aim for per day? That's my question. What are you on? Is there a formula thingy? My memory is so rubbish I can't remember what I did last time!

    Thanks.

    xx

Yeah, you need to work out your BMR based on your sex, height and weight - there are loads of calculators online, just do a search - then the calories you burn as part of your lifestyle (the calculator will do this too). You'll then have the number of calories you need to maintain your current weight.

1lb of fat is equivalent to 3500 calories, so to lose 1lb a week you'd need to subtract 500 calories a day from this total. To lose 2lb a week, you'd need to subtract 1000 calories a day from the total.

    Hope this helps :)
