How much can TOTM alter results???

S: 14st1lb C: 8st10lb BMI: 23 Loss: 5st5lb(38.07%)
Hi there

It can vary enormously but I think someone said it can affect it by up to 7lbs so a 2lb loss at TOTM is a really good result. One of the crosses we have to bear I'm afraid!

Thanks for that Georgie, it's strange how my brain works, I know I'm losing, my trousers keep having a sneaky chat with me about how much smaller I'm becoming but I suppose like someone else said on here, if I were at WW I'd be overjoyed with a 2lb loss.

Here's to next week, long live tiny knickers xx

Hi Sarah

Like you, I only lost 2 pounds this week (only, LOL!). From what I've read on here and on other CD forums, I think weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for smaller weightlosses regardless of whether you're male or female. Your body's trying to maintain the status quo so I think you probably retain a bit more water in these weeks--just until your brain realises you're serious this time--and lets it go again! That's my rather unscientific explanation anyway.

So I'm trying to be positive and see the bigger picture--I've lost 18 pounds in 3 weeks. Now that averages out to 6 pounds per week.

And you've lost 24 pounds in 3 weeks--that's 8 pounds per week! Bl**dy hell, you don't get that on WW! Well done honey :D
I have ladies that lose the same average amount at their time of the month and others who stay the same or put on, by the next week it always evens out though

I agree TOTM can (& does for me ) have a big effect on that weeks loss. For me though, its not that week itself but about mid-cycle. I do know however, that if you hang on in there, the next week is usually pretty good as your body will have lost the fluid and be balanced again. HTH!
