Oh Bless! Luckily it's always happened to me at home, and as said at least they were black lace!

Many many years ago (when knickers had real elastic) I was in the centre of leeds with my mother when her knicker elastic went and her pants ended up round her ankles! She stepped out of them and put them in her handbag! Never blinked!
