How to lose half your body weight in 10 days (Or a bit longer!)

Hi Fran. Where are you? Missing you loads. Hope you and Nate are ok xxx

hi hun. I'd been struggling with stuff and had taken some time out from slimming. I am looking at my health again now. Just focusing on me around food and my relationship with it. good day today. Regular meals (slimming world friendly) and good snacks as well as a packet of crisps (normal sized!) and an oreo. We did physical activity in the garden too. planted out my strawberries and courgettes and potatoes today (as well as lots of other garden jobs). looking forward to some good eats in a few more months. I'm also awaiting contact from a publishers in a few months (which obviously means I'm checking my emails a lot!) after having submitted a manuscript for a children's picture book. Lots of hoo haa at work, but I seem to have made myself of use and the vicar even came to talk to me about a problem. Given nearly everyone else is in hospital or on holiday it may have been through a lack of choice rather than anything else! haha. um, what else? oh my grandma broke her hip the other week so that was a bit dramatic. Nate has seen the trailer for the postman pat movie so I think we'll be seeing that at the end of the month. GROAN. He is loving school and today told me to go. Lovely! and another kid's party to go to on Saturday. Just bought the little boy a present on amazon.... and myself more compost and a CD. Pretty much normal life. Trying to manage the knackeredness myself, asthma seems to be under control now, I just need to get my weight back down again.

Hey hun, I am tired just reading everything you have been up to! WOW! No wonder you haven't had time to be on here.
Glad you are still sticking to the healthy eating.
Exciting times about you being a publisher author - you kept that quiet! That is fantastic news. Will the book go to print or do they reserve rights first? Not really sure of the world of publishing, but still - brilliant news.
Glad Nate's doing well and enjoying parties, life and school.
poor grandma, will she be okay soon?
how are you coping with the tiredness. Did the doc give you any tablets or refer you to a specialist?
Missed you, don't be a stranger x

Hey Anju. No. There's no cure or tablets for it. Just management. Grandma is fine. She has a shiny new hip and is finally going into a home, which is where she needed and wanted to be. I'm not published yet! I've sent it off. Then i wait 3-6 months and if they don't respond I send it some place else. It'd be in print and possibly digital too. I wrote it for Nate though so if nothing else comes of it it's served it's purpose. It was because there are 3 books dealing with single mothers that don't bring in ivf, same sex couples, adoption etc. I didn't want to confuse the issue. 1 book was writted in the 80s in America, 1 referred to a dad calling a little girl throughout her life, making promises and letting her down and the third was awful basically saying I have no money, no time, no energy, but it's ok because we have fun. I didn't think it appropriate to say those things to a 3 year old so I wrote a story about a young cow, called little pat, asking his mummy about where his dad is, who his dad is, why doesn't he live with them, does he love him etc and this goes on from supper time until bed and his mummy answers all his questions and he goes to sleep feeling safe and loved. It seemed crazy there wasn't anything suitable out there but if you want to explain death, same-sex families, ivf, adoption, fostering... well the world is your oyster!

I have been wallowing in food for a while. I'm just starting to be more calm and less "I need sugar to give me some energy!!!"
Lol Kathryn you see me blahing most days!

Your book sounds great. Really sensitive and written from the heart. If it is written half as well as your diary, it will be a big hit. As you said, it was for Nate, so as long as he feels secure and is happy (judging by your comments on him- he is) then you have achieved what you set out to achieve, anything else is a bonus.
have a great day x

YAY Fran, that's brilliant news. Well done hun x

Just want to update you. I heard back from one of the publishers yesterday who love the concept and asked me to write something for ages 5-7 years because they mainly deal with schools. Very exciting and very early to hear back.

Brilliant! Well done and I hope it goes really well for you.

I've had a few good days recently, which then means I am surprised by things like finding a cucumber in the freezer or passing out for an hour. But generally feeling improved to the point where I can look at my weight/food again - hopefully!!!
Today:
B: overnight oats, cherries, raspberries and banana (heb)
L: chicken and vegetable noodle soup
D: paella! Half a syn for olives about 6 for chorizo. Strawberries and a yogurt

Hungry now so debating making some sw humous with crudités.

Tomorrow's plan is:
B: beans on toast and fruit heb
L: chicken salad
D: sw Mac n cheese hea

Nate loved paella but insists it is called pie. He had mussels, squid and chorizo for the first time and loved them all. Mac n cheese was his request.
