Why is it that any food looks good when you are hungry.... i'm starving despite drinking 4 pints of water and still counting. I was even tempted to get the kids left overs rom tea from the top of the bin ( now that is not a sane mind thinking). Deprevation is a hard thing to overcome and week one is killing me slowly.... but i won't let it win, no matter what strange thoughts i'm having... even the dog food looks tempting at the mo!!! has anyone else felt like this on the ss CD, or am i going mad!

have you realized how much food is on the soaps .... aaaahhhhhh .......bettys hot pot, pastys n scotch eggs at the hen night ......... then dot cottons beef stew, and mo's left over sausage ......that was friday ...dont know if i can cope tonight .... lol
but like you i wont let them win either ...... come on us skinny *****es ... lol

Hi im on week 2 ss cd, ive not had a problem at all, did you reduce your intake of carbs and sugar before you started?

yeah the carbs an sugars were reduced.... i think it's more of a mental issue, knowing you can't have something makes you want it more!!! i think it is best not to watch T.V it can make things worse. i have not noticed food on programs just on the food add, KFC, Mc D's, and what ever else there is, my loving feancee seems to take some enjoyment in my anjuish over this, when we watch T.V and the adds are on he looks at me and waits for a response.

hang in there hun im just starting week 2 and i still feel like u its not easy but keep going ya doin really well and its not easy with all the food porn thats on xx

I must admit I am always starving on the diet. I'm just starting 2nd week.
I don't mind cooking for my family and I don't want to eat anything but I think about food ALL DAY LONG! Not what I can't have but how long until I get a pack or a bar or whatever.... Sad isn't it?
I just got mousse thingy from CDC today though and have just had a huge bowl of toffee and walnut mousse. It was great.

I know what you mean. I received a parcel today from my friend and it was a huge box of chocs, they look and smell so good. It's so hard to resist temptation!!

I felt exactly the same yesterday, I could have eaten my arm. Just kept drinking water and trying to keep busy. Got up this morning and felt better, in fact on day 9 today and beginning to feel "not hungry". I am sure I will have days when I do though. Hang on in there, take your hubby/partner to bed instead works wonders!!!! xxx

No! it is not sad, you do what you gotta do to get you to the next shake, bar, whatever so you don't put anything else in your mouth to eat. There are some days or series of days that I have to do this. I go hour by hour sometimes minute by minute to get through the day 100%. Tjose do make fpr some loooong days though lol.

lol I totally agree with you there!
To be honest i have found that i think more about food and have my cravings when i am tired, this has happened twice so far., but i havent given in. :) im on day 10 now and lost 8lbs in my 1st week:D

It's really good to hear from you all and to know i'm not going mad.... i ended up playing games on the Wii last night to take my mind off of it (which helped)... we are trying to buy wii fitness but every where is sold out.
I have woke this morning feeling better and not hungry.... NOT yet any way, seems to be the evenings that are my worst. I am back at work after my maternaty leave on monday, i'm a nurse and work on a busy ward so i'm hoping that will help keep my mind off food plus keep me on my feet and burn those calories.

Oh my God, I know the feeling. I have had a bad first week, but I am not going to beat myself up about it mainly becasue I more or less 'dived' into it, meaning I didn't reduce carb intake etc. beforehand. So, tomorrow is another week and I WILL DO WELL next week and I WILL DO 100% SS (even if it means I am never off this site moaning and asking for support :)).

On day 4

HI people. I am on day 4 and went a bit wrong today, ate 5 biscuits.
So much harder when the kids are at home.
I have lost 8 lbs though, first weigh in next wed. Back on it 2m.
