I Feel really BAD :(

Full Member

I ate my willpower!
Don't worry about it. We all have these moments and your much better off facing the music and getting back on track.

The worse thing you can do is give up. A few naughty dinners doesn't mean you have failed, it means you have had a few flexi syn days, but now your in complete control, because your back on plan.

I bet your WI is not even as bad as you think it will be.

I know but i feel i have let myself down as i was going good for a few weeks then crap!

Still rockin' it
A diet slip up does not make you a bad person! It just makes you human with normal weaknesses and strengths.

Go to class, mate. Accept that you had a slip up and get back on it. This diet is not achievable if it is unrealistic, and being realistic is accepting that we are going to occasionally mess things up- I am sure you are in this for the long haul, not a quick fix, so go easy on yourself

Where I have failed on diets before is that I've gone "Ah cr**, I've ruined it all with one meal/night/weekend off. May as well give up".

We all do it. We all have normal lives to maintain too. We all have people in our lives who we have to spend time having fun with, and who don't want to live constantly under the pressure of our diet.

One weekend off won't kill you. Giving up will (metaphorically speaking obviously!). Did you have fun? I would argue that that is more important in the long term.

For today, pick yourself up, dust off the Alpen lights and get back on the wagon. DO go to class, cos that's a slippery slope too. Just know that one weekend can't ruin all your success. You'll be fine!

I agree - the only time i've ever failed on a diet before is when i've had a blow out, food wise, and have been too downhearted to go to back to class so have given up. Then obviously gained weight again!

Whereas if i'd gone back to class i probably would have gained a couple of pounds, but would have lost it again the following week plus more thereafter.

It's just being able to get my/your head out of the short-term thinking. We're in this for the long haul, and a few days of overeating will NOT affect our long term goals :)

Good luck, and get back to that class!!! :D xx
