I have started on Lighter Life Total

I have been tonight, lost 7lbs - very pleased..

Off to have pasta, and may have a bar later before bed.

I am on total for one more week, and then I am on Light thereafter.


Ringleader, come on here more, I am sorry you are having a bad time, try drinking more water with everything.
Are you staying to the session, as that helps.
Come on, we can do this, because, we must for us, otherwise what is the point of it!
 
Oh dear, I know no one wants to hear this, but I've eaten non-pack already and I feel absolutely terrible :cry:
I feel like I'm the only one in the world that is having difficulty with getting through the first week of this program :(:(:(

Day 1 was okay (3 packs taken, though the taste doesn't agree with me), day 2 I didn't get out of bed I had so little energy (2.5 packs), day 3 was better but I was too nauseous to get past 2.5 packs again. I was definitely in ketosis on Day 3 and had lost 7 lbs.

But Day 4 was a Monday and I was back in work again.
By 2pm my stomach was not just gnawing with hunger, but it was unbearable!
By 4:30 I bought a sandwich in the shop at work and ate the cheese and ham out of the middle and threw away the bread.

:sigh: So now its day 5, I'm basically restarting (being out of ketosis now) and feeling very down.

The hunger started gnawing again and I finally realised it was canderel sachets (powder) they have in work - I had been adding them to my coffee and they obviously just made me a mad person wanting to eat everything around me. I had totally forgotten that we can only have these in tablet form :eek:

I'm just glad I figured out what the problem was - hopefully the ride will be a lot smoother for me from now on.

Just get back on it. Theres no harm in a blip, and you should acknowledge that you completed 6 days!! This "diet" isnt for everyone, but my advice would be to plan plan & plan. Have a shake if you have the tummy grumbles and if you sill want something 10 minutes later then go for it. The first few days are definitely the hardest, but once you get over them you'll be fine. It really is a case of mind over matter, and changing the way you do things. I know; as my habits were appalling! However, thats all they were, HABITS. You're the one whos in control of yourself, its your choice to do this. Think about all the reasons why you started LL in the first place, and have an overal goal in mind. This should help you focus.
If you're too hungry, perhaps you're leaving it too long inbetween shakes??? I cant wait any longer than 11am to have one!!!! Then im set up for the day.
Honestly, dont worry about having something today, i've been there myself and the trick is to get right back on it and not use this as a get out of jail free card to eat everything!!! (which is what I used to do) lol

Thanks, I am very pleased, my trousers are feeling looser and very comfortable to wear, which was one of my aims to loose some weight.

How are you doing?

I had my first weigh in tonight. And despite my blip on yesterday I still lost! So from my consultation weight in two weeks ago I am down 11 lbs! :) 1 week of detox at home (water weight lost I suspect), 2nd week on LL.

FINALLY got to tuck into a bar for the first time tonight and couldn't even finish it! Those are super filling, aren't they? Had the nut fudge and it is really yummy.

Iva, don't worry darling! You may not even be out of ketosis with your blip? I had a moment of weakness yesterday (day 6) when giving my twin's their lunches. Felt so terrible later on. My LL counsellor just said, 'don't be so hard on yourself. Just get back on it' You will be fine!

off for an early night (11 lbs lighter!) :) nighty night!

It's a great feeling isn't it??? I'm feeling really good surprisingly!! Very in control and really pleased that I started back. This does work, but only if you stick to it. The crooked thoughts are the hard part but my reasons for doing it this time are different. It was pure vanity the last time and this time I just want to be a healthy weight and not be struggling all the time . It definitely does change the way you do things which is great for me. I'm taking up a meditation course next week, which is VERY different to how I would normally spend my weekend lol
Weigh in tonight and I'm hoping for a big loss to keep my motivation going!!

Exercise :- dog walk 40 mins.

Well done yesdarling, fantastic result, what have you noticed with your clothes? I have been having the bars, I find they are very useful when out and about, and easy to eat when playing golf. The only bar I wasn't so keen on was toffee (it stuck to my teeth) !

I will be going on Lighter for my third week..and then will decided what to do do.......

What I have noticed, it takes the decision away from me for what I having for a meal.
 
I am not too impressed with my counsellor , the meeting is ok - when it gets to talking about this Module, that is good. Too me it just feels rushed, at the weighing stage and sorting out the packets.

I will carry on to the Lite week, but I am thinking of going it alone, with real food, going down the path of counting calories.
Q: If I have 600 calories a day along with an ABC tablet for all the right minerals, etc., what would be wrong with that?

I am also thinking of doing Mynetdiary, and calories. I should have (to loose weight) 1500, I have a friend who uses it, and she has lost 2 dress sizes, and is eating real food, which would help me as I socialise a lot! I believe she gets her food from a supermarket delivered to her door. I also have another friend, who will eat when she is hungry, and if she is out for lunch or dinner, then she will cut back for the next meal and just have something very light or not at all.(As she is not hungry!)

Q: If I go from 600 calories to 1500 calories (using mynetdiary), what affect will that have on me, or should I increase slowly?


Its just I feel that I don't think I can carry on eating the (baby type food) yes I am loosing weight from it, and quite like it but it not real food is it!

Please gives me your views...........

Morning :)

Having a vanilla shake this morning with a splash of coffee. mmmm! :) I had two bars yesterday. (shhh!) ;) So will try and step away from the nut fudge today. ;) My days are the same as I only like 5 LL food items. Vanilla and Strawb shakes, veg soup and the peanut bar as well as the nut fudge.


Doing some exercise this morning. Cannot muster the energy for my stepper yet. BG, you are so active! :)
 
Ohh did a sneaky weigh at home today and seems i am down 2 more lbs since last weigh in tues. :)
 
I have to tell you this, I am making cakes - risky I know, but have fete on Saturday!
And I haven't been tempted to finger dip, as I am making them with out my top on, so can see my belly!
Result!

I am interested to see if you have had any reponses regarding you questions. So are you seriously thinking about giving up LL? Despite your loss so far? I feel a bit of adaptation on my end with LL. Today I ate a celery stick and 4 radishes and a cold small/thin sausage. But skipped 2 shakes. I find the boring LL food hard and as long as I am making healthy choices alongside the LL 'rules' I don't feel I am doing much harm. I try to be careful to eat low carb/no carb will few calories. I may get an earful here.. ;) I don't want to deny my healthy cravings. especially being on such a low cal diet....

I have now made 40 cupcakes, already for icing tomorrow. Still with my t/shirt off, it really does help, when you see your belly overhanging the work surface.:eek::eek: (Its not a pretty sight - believe me!:eek:) But a Result:D Still no finger dipping.

Well I will give a LL Light ago, as of next Tuesday. But having had a look at the website "mynetdiary" I actually think it would make more sense with how my social life. I haven't had any feedback from the questions, but sure if I carry on watching the calories and noting them on that website. Also not taking everything back watching what I would be eating and making a note.
The web site that I mentioned advises 1500 calories per day, so going from 600 calories - I feel I should take it slowly. Or even keep at 600 calories along with ABC tablet. I really can't see why it wouldn't work.:rolleyes:

I had chilli packet tonight, as long as you eat it in the dark, the taste is ok!:rolleyes:
 
I have iced the cupcakes, still not finger dipping, and Just had a NutFudge bar, and THE BELLY IS STILL OVERHANGING THE WORK SURFACE!
THAT IS ENOUGH SHOCK TO STOP THE FINGER DIPPING BELIEVE ME!
 
72 cupcakes made,iced, and no finger dipping, no testers - i have succeeded, for the first time ever, really can't believe it . RESULT.
 
Well done on the cakes, if yoou do go back on food be very careful as if you eat carbs too quick (not forgetting hidden carbs in fruit/veg) you not only will bloat but also may feel ill that is why LL recommend rtm, you may all ready know this but thought i'd post just in case xx
 
thanks blodwen, can you explain more about rtm? I am aware that food is slowly introduced but would like to know more. :) I've only had a few radishes, celery sticks and a couple of romain lettuce leaves. I checked the carbs and cals on each beforehand. Only really have those when feeling bored with shakes or craving bad things.

Thanks for that, can I just ask though, if I do the mynetdiary, which advised me to be on 1500 calories...and I watch and clock what I am eating, and slowly take the "real foods" back, that should work? I don't think I see myself being on these packets for too long, I know I don't feel hungry on 600 calories, which I am amazed about. But I seem to remember reading that LL suppresses the feelings on hunger anyway. So having 1500 calories, would probably be to much for my body to cope with maybe.... Something for me to think about.
