I'm thinking of having a takeaway on my first day of maintenance before I go on holiday. Since a lot of the foods I eat there is extremely healthy and I won't really be eating any treats maybe it won't be so bad.

If I had say a lipotrim shake for breakfast, maintenance food for lunch, no snacks in between and then have a bit of takeaway, would this be really bad?

Personnally, I think we should all be allowed our little treats as long as we make up for it by being really good afterwards :)

I would never eat a takeaway on my first day of refeed Yasmine. Its bound to bloat you up and reflect on the scales and going by how you felt previously when you had a gain, I think this would have a really bad reaction on you.

At the end of the day though Yas, its entirely your choice, but personally I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.

Why don't you want to stick to the refeeding plan Yas? You know how you felt after your last bad eating stage, why would you plan to start eating again on a bad footing?

Obviously it's totally your choice but personally I feel that if you do this it would be a bad start for your refeeding. The last thing you want to see is a gain on those scales after just day 1.

Yeah. But now I'm kinda having second thoughts, I mean, I would love to, but then again if I keep doing this to myself when am I going to learn. Maybe I'll just save till I come back or something. What do you think? I should leave it shouldn't I?

With your past experience I would be inclined to advise you to leave it, but its not the be all and end all. Couldn't you share with someone and choose something that wouldnt contain too much fat?

What sort of takeaway are you thinking of having. If its Chinese, go for something like chow mein, mostly noodles and chicken, if its a rice dish, make your own rice at home, boiled. Just tweak it a little Yas.

I prefer chinese than any other takeaway because it's healthier than most.

I don't like things covered in batter or those roll things, too greasy for my liking. Ooooh good idea with the rice, may even boil some brown rice instead of ordering steamed :D

But I think I'll leave it and have it when I come back, depends on my weight.

How are you anyway? back on track I see from the binge. Horrible feeling binging innit? :(, I wish I had the strength to set myself back the following day. But I kept having chocolate left over and had like binges through out the day.

Well if you do decide to have a chinese, make your own rice and share the main dish with your Sister or someone hun. If you deprive yourself completely thats when your brain feels cheated - my long going motto - a little of what you fancy does you good.

Yeah, I am fine, back on track. Its all lessons to be learned, I know it was the vodka that triggered me off that night I binged on the chocolates, because if I had been sober I could have eaten 2-3 and stopped, but wow, I ate over half the packet lol.

It is indeed a horrible feeling being out of control, but because I was drunk, the guilt didnt come into it, and the next morning I just thought, oh well, you were naughty, time to make up for it now. Easier said that done sometimes, but its all to do with positive thinking. I just imagine myself pre lipotrim days and I definitely dont want to go back to that woman, I much prefer this slimmer one.

Good luck Yas, I am sure you will be fine if you do have a takeaway, but like I say, share it with someone.

the 21st July. I can't wait!

I think I may just skip the takeaway, thing is, I think I just might be carb sensitive, the slightest thing makes me look like I'm preggers with a watermelon LOL.

When I had my binge, my stomache inflated so much I gained about 2 inches around my waist :(. And when I see my family, I want to look as small as possible LOL.

I go steady on certain carbs too, but mainly just rice and pasta, I seem to be ok on potatoes, plus I limit my bread to once a day.

Oooh wont be long until your holiday, you must be getting excited now Yasmine.

Hi Yasmine,

Have been following some of your posts between refeed and TFR.... Still on TFR but looking at healthy options all the time!

My daughter makes a really nice 'chinese' rice. Its simply rice and veggies and you can add plain chicken if you want. Not sure if its suitable for refeed/maintenance but I expect you will let me know!

50-100g uncooked rice per person, dependant on portion size (ment tend to have more. Boil/steam and set aside. Dry fry mushrooms, onions/spring onion, peppers, garlic, courgette, bean shoots... any veggie you like. (Add chicken when frying.) Take off heat and mix in 1-3 teaspoons of chinese 5spice (to taste). Then add to rice, mix well. At this point add some light soy sauce to taste but not too much.

We also add lemon grass occassionally, chopped chilli if the little one is not eating and ginger to spice it up...

I have a really low fat spicy (or not) chicken noodle recipe too... Its delish!

Oh I am! even looking forward to wearing my swimsuit!

Was thinking of wear a 2 piece but my legs are still a little jiggly so lol, not gonna happen this year. It'll be the first time not wearing spandex shorts underneath lol. I just can't wait to see the look on my family's faces.

You know what the whole town secretley called me, my mum and sisters? the fat family. HA! well, who's fat now? :D
