I think I need committing too :)

Tonight I...

Made a roast dinner from scratch for DS and OH - it would have normally have been beans on toast or a takeaway.

Emptied and cleaned the inside of the freezer, meal planned everything for the next two weeks so I don't have to go shopping. I then filled the freezer back up sorting all the different foods into different drawers (meats, veg, sweet stuff, connivence food)

I then emptied all the cupboards and asked OH what he would and wouldn't eat. Anything he wouldn't and I would is packed off to give my mum to put to good use.

I spotted a half empty box of frosties that expire at the end of next week and know that they wouldn't get eaten so at half 11 at night I made chocolate frosties cakes - complete with hundreds and thousands for ds for tomorrow!!

I found that I cooked and baked a lot when I was last on the diet especially a lot of batch cooking, my kitchen is always spotless and I actually like doing dishes. I HATE this normally and have even been known to leave dishes that long that they've had to be thrown away.

I love cookery shows too but my obsession with weight loss programs really kick in. I saw that the biggest loser uk starts next monday and the biggest loser us starts next Tuesday, just throw in a supersize vs super skinny, fat families and I'd be in dieting program heaven :)

Hey Stokegal -- Great minds think alike. My DD had a whole box of opened coco pops that she wasn't going to eat -- so, I made them into marshmallow treats.

I thought I was indulging myself buying crispy hoisin duck portion from the local Chinese....
But compared to the £20 worth of sugary junk you bought...

Dont be tempted! We are all on this together! :)

Hola! :)

Sadly, I didn`t actually eat any of the crap I bought :( lol

I gave it to my hubbie and children ;)

I made the post as I have turned into some loon buying loads of junk that I wouldn`t normally if I wasn`t on this diet

Funnily enough though, I DO have an underactive Thyroid! Which is why I don`t get the huge losses when dieting that everyone else does. I`m happy enough tho, As long as I get there in the end :D

Xxx

*Edited to add - Just seen the Duck comment. Did you eat it? I :heartpump: Duck :(

I seem to be turning to food porn too.

Jamie Oliver keeps appearing in my tv! I love it! I've also started sniffing my fiance's food!

Think I might use this interest to collect recipes for post cd menus. I need to get into my cooking (instead of the convenience food I used to live off)

Though I still have several months to go!

Youre not weird hun! Its actually been scientifically proven that smelling food/being around it when you're on a diet actually helps with cravings! I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to find the link.....

It says all about, buying it, looking at it and smelling it (but not actually eating it) helps to reduce cravings and makes you satisified at NOT having it!

Explains why, whenever I'm on CD I also love cooking for the OH and Bella but dont actually want it myself!

So buy, stare and sniff away guys! Just dont actually EAT any of it!

I'll keep looking for the link to that research xx

Oh and my CDC did the whole "collecting recipes for when I'm off CD" thing, and once at goal, she NEVER cooked a single recipe as the whole cooking obsession soon went away! She had a folder of over 500 recipes by the end of CD!

How bizarre! lol!

Iv just cooked OH a gorgeous meal! Hunters chicken, peas and wedges!! Smells so lush I could sit here and cry lol

Hi -- Made the family soft tacos (spicy meaty smell) and had my first CD potato and leek soup. Needed to grind a lot of fresh pepper in it -- because it seemed very bland in comparison. It is good that I've been on the diet long enough now that I sit with my family while they eat their "real" food and I have my CD food. Family dinner time is important in our home.
