I NEED A MAN!

Right, I've been sitting here waiting for the DIY fella to turn up to fix my staircase, put up curtain rails and blinds and lay some lino in my bathroom.

He was supposed to turn up last week so this was his second chance, I think I'll find someone else to do the jobs.

So I've been wondering what else I need 'a man who can' for. I'm not the most competant diy-er but in the past I've done all the wallpaper stripping, ripped up carpets, some painting etc, all the easy stuff.

So, what does everyone else 'need a man who can' for? I think this thread can go either way, serious or funny, because some of my needs are quite trivial and some - are not!;):D No doubt I'll add to this list as the days go by - not that I'm picky or anything!:D

I NEED A MAN WHO CAN:-

1. Turn up when he says he will!
2. Keep his promises - ALL of them!;):D

im a pretty good diy-er which is just as well cos my hubby is flipping useless! u only have to ask sonkie what happened last time he tried to fit a new light pendant in the bathroom....lol.

however....what would have been nice was if i had ever found a man that could pick men for me. a man knows men. i wouldnt have wasted years trawling thru losers if i had one man who would help me spot the losers and pick the winners. im married now so it dont matter but i would have about half my life back had i had one of these lol

Ooh yeah Karen, every woman needs a gay male friend who can pick the ideal boyfriend! :D I too have picked a few losers in the past, but I'm determined to take my time with my next bloke, whoever he is will have to work hard to impress me!;):D

i actually met my best friend chris about 7 years ago and he acted as my man-picker for a while and he was always spokily spot on! told me there was something "wrong" with one bloke i was dating...turned out right...the sod was married! then he kept steering me towards the man i eventually married. i wish i had met chris when i was 18 lol.
another man that can for me would be someone who can manage to get matching socks on the kids when he is "helping" them get dressed. its always a miracle for hubby to be able to achieve it.

other than that...hubby takes care of all other business ;) good old chris helped a treat picking my fella on this occasion hehe!

I need a man for picking up and removing all the dead mice and moles that my cats bring into the house - I could do it myself but prefer to come over all girly and pretend I couldn't bear to! (teehee)

oooo thats a good one lol. definately need a spider removing man who doesnt tut and whinge at me when im sitting screaming in the bed at 2am cos theres a creepy crawly on the wall :D

I'm afraid I have to bite my lip when we get spiders etc in the house - seeing as I'm the only adulteven though I don't like them much either!

My daughter is scared of bluebottles, moths, bees, wasps, crawling bugs, the list is never ending! She loves butterflies and birds though ("all the pretty ones don't scare me") she says!

awww a girl after my own heart lol

She's so sweet, but such a drama queen!!:D:D We can't help laughing at her sometimes when she's having a hissy fit, but of course that just makes her more hissy! Her voice goes so high I'm sure dolphins can hear her! :D

LOL. my daughter does that too...and her eyebrows go up with her voice...but gawd help u if u laugh at her...she'll demand to know why and if u say its cos shes so cute she absolutely loses it lol.

It's exactly the same with Amy! If we laugh at her and say she's a drama queen she goes MENTAL!:D

I've been thinking about this post all day, and i have reached the conclusion that i dont actually NEED a man for anything! I enjoy having a man in my life for the company, companionship, fun and good sex, but none of those things are essential to me at the moment! If you'd asked me this question a couple of years ago i would have said i needed a man to help me with my kids, help me pay the mortgage, stop me feeling lonely when i am surrounded by families when out and about, do the DIY. I think i have come a long way in the last few years!

Hey Bex, good on you for being in such a great place in your life and not needing a man.:D

I'm afraid that I can't say the same for myself  I like the idea of having a man around for hundreds of reasons. Companionship, conversation, fun, help with those diy jobs that I can't do (and like to think I'm too girly to do! hehe!) Cuddles, kisses, hugs, being one half of a partnership, all the things that I had during my 20 years with my ex.

I have also grown in confidence since splitting up with my ex and I realise that not everyone is the same or wants the same things as I do. I would be quite content to be alone for the rest of my days if the right man doesn't come along, but what do I do about the DIY? :D

Hire a gorgeous male escort for the evening and ask him to arrive in working dungarees and bring his tool box!!!!:D

Have you seen the Story Thread tonight Carol????:p:D

Well the 'man who can' is a man who can't! He didn't turn up on Monday as promised, so I ran him yesterday and he promised to come round after work. Yeah, you guessed right - he didn't turn up! so I've sacked him! He's had 3 chances and let me down 3 times - finito!:mad:

OMG I'm so angry!:wave_cry:
