I need your help and advice

Just been for my weekly weight in and omg ive put on 2 lbs HELP, Ive not cheated since i started the plan i drink between 5-7 ltrs of water a day. Im not due on. The only thing i can think is that i have had some of the flavoured coffees from wittards vanilla, irish coffee and ameratto poss 2-3 cups a days as i got bored of normal coffee. And i had husk porridge one this week, Has any one else experienced this, im in week 20 and lost just under 5 stone. any ideas
i need some help and advise i feel quite down this evening

Hi Jowry,

Not had this problem myself but I dont take the coffee flavouring or the husks. All I can say is not too worry stay focused and you will probably lose more next week. Not much help and I am sure you are disappointed but keep your eye on the ball. Did you mention it to your consellor.

wow! 5 stone, you should be so proud of yourself.

This week is clearly just a blip and nothing to worry about....really.

Look at what you have lost so far and how far you have come and relax.

Good luck next week- I bet its a corker of a loss then.

I haven't put weight on but I have had times when I haven't lost... the body is a funny thing, you may be brewing a cold or something similiar which can make you retain water... if you haven't had anything you shouldn't, then you'll see it in next weeks weigh in... don't panic yourself :) Last week I barely lost a lb but this week I lost 6lb! It's just the way the body works.. if you are worried it might be the coffee, just leave it off:)

thanks for your kind words. all my counsellor said it was proberly water retention, ive been to the little girls room so many times today my boss was threatening to tie me to the chair

you do have to be careful with how much water you drink before weigh in, 1 litre weighs 2.2 lbs, I went one week and had only lost .5lbs and was gutted, however, I had 3 big pees during group and LLC weighed me again and I had lost 3lbs!!
After that I stopped drinking a couple of hours before WI.

Oh, I know how discouraging that must have been for you cinsidering you have been 100%. The coffee and husks should not affect you. Fear not - you will probably have a brill loss next week. As said, bodies are strange....they will do what they want, and as long as you are on track, its not a genuine gain, but a blip or retention.

Hang tough - and look out for a good loss next week!!!!

That's exactly what I suspect has been happening to me! In fact last week I didn't drink anything 1 hour before my weigh in and I had better results. Will stick with no water for 2 hours beforehand from now on. Thanks for the tip, Ali. You're ever so helpful.:hug99:

You'll probably still have lost fat. Maybe the coffee flavourings had some salt in because that can cause water retention can't it?

I wouldn't worry about the scales tooooo much, the fact is if you've been sticking to the plan you will have lost fat, it's impossible not to on 500 odd calories a day :grouphugg:
