So this will be my third major attempt. This one though is tough.

I have struggled against weight all my life, getting upto 28stone just over a year ago. I got down to 24 st and then fell off the wagon. went back up to just under 26.

So this week, my heart strings were completely tugged by my daughter asking me too lose weight. She has problems at school. Even though she eats healthy, does kickboxing, swimming, she still has a "Sturdy" frame. not fat, but thats not how the kids in her school see it.

I now suspect that things have been said about "Daddy". She asked me on Tuesday, and since then I have stuck to a diet, even if it wasnt planned. As a house hubby I find it hard, not into all that cleaning stuff, xbox appeals more, so i get bored cleaning, doing housey stuff, and crave sweet, crisps...and clear out the cupboard !!

So third time giving it large on how well im gonna do...but i made a promise to my girl, shes only 8 and thats a promise i dont wanna break.

Weekends are good for me as I work most of it and its on my feet (Bouncer) so I should be okay till monday now...when I have my first weigh in.

Im waffling now, but just wanna get it down on...well screen..lol. humour me please.

First goal is a couple of stone by Christmas, which if i stick too it, walk the dog a little further and be good, i hope should be achieved.

Dont wanna think any further than that now.

Any how, good luck too all you in your quests....i hope to be around for a little while...

well done so far
what better reason to lose weight than for your child , but of course it is for yourself too
I gave up smoking in february after 20 years and I did so because Im nearly 40 and my son is only 4, I want to be around to see him grow up, have a family of his own, I brought him into this world and have a responsibility to try to be around or him.
Now the only thing that is unhealthy about me is my weight and it stops me doing some of the things i want to do with my son while he is still young enough to want to hang out with me
Good luck and do keep popping back for support
I particularly like looking at the before and after pics thread ...very inspirational
I only started on Friday and have over 3 stone to lose so hope to make it by Easter

Hey fatfella,

Hows it going? How are you getting along with WW?

I guess I can say we are on the same boat, both male and with a lot of weight to do. I am weighting now around 27 stones, give or take, and I plan to shed a few by christmas too.
Its harder the bigger you are, but we can both do it.

I chose Cambridge weight plan because I need total food replacement, I tried a bit of WW but ended up eating double the points I needed to, because lets face it, even though their food is "healthy", it is too damn good for my standards LOL.
Ended up binging on some occasions, so I said: Meh, this is not for me, I cant control myself for god sake lol...

So yeah, I basically had to go the CD route :)
