Hi folks

Wow it's been a while since I was here and Im very ashamed to say I slipped into a deep depression these last 3 months and gained almost all the weight back =(

As those of you who know me may remember, I was in an unhappy marriage. Well that came to a head this morning when I awoke to a text telling me he'd left -.- Says it all, doesn't it. The good news is, I can feel the depression already lifting and it jolted me back on the plan! Today is officially day 1. Im not updating my tracker yet because... well, I just don't want to haha. When I know im back on fully I shall reveal the horrible details of my slippery slide into a black hole of maltesers and donuts... not the best staple diet that's for sure.

Aaaanyway, Im single, Im fat and I have no self confidence, and I need to do something about that!! So, I shall be in and out every now and then, catching up with you all, seeing how you are all doing and keeping you posted. Feels nice to be back already ^.^

Cookeh!!!!!!! Welcome back and so nice to see you on the forum again. Whilst it is sad that your marriage is over, at least once the decision is made, you can start to mend. Often, it is the waiting and not knowing that stresses you far more than the actual event. What you have dreaded has come to pass and now you realise it is not as bad a place as you thought. It will take time for you to heal but getting the body back in shape can be a good part of that journey. Lots of luck with your restart.

Hiya
Welcome back....sorry to hear about your marriage; been there, got the t-shirt, but when it isnt a happy one, in time you will realise that it was the best thing!!

What you need now is your confidence back and to throw it in his face and show him what he has thrown away!!! :)!!!!!

Eh, we have all been there with the losing and putting back on again,,,,,,so, you are certainly not alone that is for sure!

Be kind to yourself and stay close to those that matter!

Welcome back!! Sorry to hear your mixed bag of news. I was in an unhappy marraige and whilst it was a relief it ended it came with a weird set of emotions, so well done on jumping on LT. I'm sure it will be very cathartic in many ways!

As they say one door closes (the fridge) another one opens (err, a water closet! ;0) ha!) xxxxxxx

Hey Cookeh - welcome back sweetie :) Sorry to hear your news but as others have said - show him what he is missing :).

I am back onto TFR after a failed dalliance with WW - I put on in 6 weeks rather than taking off but then I did not refeed properly, but have to find a way to eat proper food without gaining and until I can think of that way I will do TFR.

I have only started today - so we can "do it together" :D Good luck - you did it before so you know you can do it again and this forum is great for support as well you know it :D

Hi there

Set your goal on showing him what he lost!!! Loose the weight, get yourself a little black dress and a set of killer heels and make one hell of an entrance at something he is at. Let him see just what he lost!!

You can do it

reading through all the threads. It is amazing - all you guys are like old friends at this stage - its wonderful. The support from each and every one to each other is oozing out through the screen

So true! I have met some lovely "what I class now as good friends" on this forum and will meet one in a few weeks time!!!!! I was reading Rosemary Conley today and she said you need a MOTIVATOR AND ENCOURAGER to help you on your way and to just encourage you on your journey!! I realised then that this is why I have found it easier losing the weight because I have found likeminded people and no one judges you!!!!!

Jools, sorry to hear WW did not suit. I hope you have better luck on tfr as I know you found it a bit tough after Christmas.
I've taken a break from LT and am trying GL. So far, so good. I'm never hungry on it and find it fairly easy to stick with and best of all I'm losing each week. Slow but sure and learning new habits!! lots of luck for your first weigh in.
P.S Sorry Cookeh to hijack ur thread. Hope you are faring well and getting through week one.

Hi folks, just popped in to say thank you all for the wonderful support. He has never known me slim, in fact, when I got down to 14st in February that's the slimmest I'd ever been since I met him so anything past that is gonna be a shock to him, not that I'm really that bothered, I fell out of love with him a while ago now =/

Anyway, today is day 5 and I haven't faltered at all. No topping up with tuna this time heh. Also, sorry if this is TMI, but today TOTM started and it's actually been delayed since after stopped LT in February, so Im guessing I was seriously under nourished and now that I'm back on track again my body is slowly getting itself back to normal :)

Hi Folks

Well I fell off the wagon back in May and indulged my sweet tooth a bit too much, I think I just needed to get it out my system. I remember I cheated just because, that was it, no reason, and I regretted it since I couldn't get back on track.

Anyway, I stayed off the forum until I'd established myself back on the diet and I'm now at the start of week 5 having lost 19lbs so far. I've booked a holiday to the USA to visit a (male ~.^ ) friend that I met online a long time ago but have never met in person and so now I have a concrete goal to keep me focused. If that doesn't get me through LT then I don't know what will.

It's my 40th birthday next month and I won't be celebrating with food, same goes for Christmas if I'm still on it by then. I've dithered and cheated way too much and am sure it's not good for your body to be going in and out of ketosis every other month.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello. Don't see any of the *old* faces here that I knew from last time, presumably they've got to goal and moved on so hello to all the people who never knew me from last time and good luck on the plan, here's hoping we can all do it together x
