...this isn't right, is it?
This is supposedly a can of organic green lentils in water. I took the lid off and was expecting some beige lentils swimming around in some juice much like chick peas. Instead, I was greeted with some solidified, green gunk with a few brown blobs. I mashed up the can a bit (as per the picture) and there are some lentils under the sludge but having never actually used lentils before I'm not entirely sure if it's right or wrong. A yay or nay would be great please. I feel a complete nob even asking but I don't want to throw them away if this is actually how they're supposed to be. Don't fancy my speed soup so much anymore!
