Indian carrot pudding

Hi,

Following on from discussions as to whether things are still free if they're being used in a different way, I have a question about about this pudding.

I'm not sure of the name, think it may be halva. Basically you grate a load of carrot, & bake in a dish with milk & sultananas. It is lovely & sweet.

Would the carrot still be free?

As far as I know, yes! Vegetables don't 'change' in SW-speak like fruit does - just don't forget to either syn the milk/have it as a healthy extra and syn the sultanas!

I've been wondering about this too. We ALWAYS put 'wizzed' carrot into our various Scan Bran cakes, to increase the volume and make them more 'cake' like. Nothing has ever been said at taster evenings, so have always assumed that this is OK. So glad someone else thinks so!!!
