Can anyone recommend the best way to thicken a beef stew without being too naughty? I found some very low carb stock cubes, 0.4g per cube but need something to thicken it up, saw some kind of gum mentioned in a recipe but can't remember what it was called so cant look it up!
 
I got x gum initially but never bother use it. Now i use cream if anything needed! :)
 
same here!

you soon learn to cook without the need for thickeners, stirfy most things then add a little dble cream/cream cheese to make a sauce.

not sure? never tried stroganoff lol. On a serious budget this week though hence the stew....dont wanna add cream and hate it, then have to buy the next 3 days dinners in again lol. Might try it another time xx
 
I ordered some Kitchen Thick it Up - Thickener from low carb megastore and it says it's 0 carbs
