Is anyone else doing the Race for Life

#1
I have now got something to focus losing weight for, and that is the girls at work have decided that we are all going to do the race for life. I am really looking forward to it (lord knows why)!

It will either kill or cure me anyway I would rather :hide: but I will give it a good go.

Hey Clare, I was meant to be doing the race with my class, but discovered its the day I get back of my holiday :-( Which means I would have a plane flight then 3 hours sleep then a run and I really couldnt do it if I tried! Good luck tho! I should be fun xxx

RUN??????? What is that LOL. We will all be walking it, there is about 10 of us and I think out of that 10 only 1 of us is a runner!

I know I will be able to walk it no problem as we have a narrowboat and I do all the walking and locks so that wont be a problem but I really dont do running :D

I did it a couple of years ago and it near killed me. It was in July, it was soooooooooooooo hot, I struggled to even walk it.

Good luck to everyone who's braving it though!! It's an excellent cause!!

I would definately recommend it to everyone, its a brillaint experience. I've done the last three years with some friends and my daughter, she was only 7 the first time. This year I'm going one step further and have registered to do the Playtex Moonwalk in Edinburgh in June. That's the one where you walk through the night in decorated bras ! We have opted for the half marathon but maybe next year we might do the full marathon if I can get super slim and super fit !

Hi Dobo
That sound like really good fun, but such a long way to edinburgh for me. I flew up there last October but that is the only time I have been. You will have to let us all know how that one goes..... :D
