Is keeping a diary helpful?

Just wondered what you guys thought about keeping a diary, do you find it helpful? I've started one figured it might help motivate me when I look back at it, and will help me track my progress.
 
without a doubt yes!

I am very very honest in my blog and do this so that when i look back I can see how I got through the bad times as well as smile at the good times.
I would encourage everyone to write a blog or a diary.

I keep a blog.

I try to be as honest as possible in it, as its good to look back over when, like Tilly says, it gets hard or you start to lose focus.
