Is the Cambridge diet really hard to stick to?

Right now I can't get enough of the chocolate shake, that and choc tetras are all I have had (other than soups) for a couple of months now. Sure, I like the others but LOVE the choc!

I'm sure the tetra tastes like choc custard, anyone else think so??

Yes Dee i agree, addicted to the choc which is surprising as i usually am more of a savoury person that sweet!!
Good luck with it, like everyone has said after 3 days you'll feel so much more confident. I really didn't think i'd get through day 1 but i did then day 2 etc and even now i've shocked myself that i'm still 100% and on day 11 and the time has flown. 11days ago i was so down about my weight, miserable and disgusted in myself that i had put on so much but it truly is amazing how great you will feel in such a short space of time.xx
 
Hi and congratulations on joining this fab website and arranging to meet your CDC. You won't regret it especially when you get on those scales and see how fast it's coming off. My favourite is Toffee & Walnut followed by choc mint and banana. I use the tetras when I'm off out somewhere and I have 2 drinks and a bar in the evening. I'm a shade under 5'8" so some days I have 4 if I'm feeling really hungry.
 
When I started CD I thought the shakes tasted like cheap powdery shakes:( but then you do get used to the flavours.

Personally I'm addicted to the Vanilla and to this I add Coffee. Made with very cold water and a dash of nutmeg or cinammon on the top and it's just YUMMIE!!!

Very hard at first but once the first few days have passed and Ketosis kicks in then you stop feeling so hungry etc.

Drink tons of water and just watch the weight melt off you!

Over 4 stones in 3.5 months:eek:
 
I would add a top tip to buy a stick (hand held) blender as this makes all the difference to the shakes i find....i make mine up with slightly more water than the minimum, add ice, the powder and whizz....and its lovely - honest! Good luck you wont regret it x
 
its my first week have found it tough but cant wait to see what ive lost.....i really like the butter scotch one, it tastes like angel delight! infact i like all the flaours... i have soup for lunch and tea... i suppose it feels more like a meal. think the leek and potato and the chick and mush are the best, the cheese and brocoli is rank!!!!! not had the bars yet ...will do when ive shifted a stone.....good luck ...this site has been an inspiration for me ...so thanks to everyone xxxxxx

I have just joined WW, but having looked into the Cambridge, I am thinking of switiching, obviously I have 67lb to lose, which is not a small amount!
My concern is, I won't be able to stick to it?? I have heard the drinks are horrible!

What is your favourite flavour!! Help & thanks

ww is a really good diet.....you can eat whatever you want but have to count points.....good thing about it to is all the food that is avail to buy .....the ready meals are great if yuo are in a rush , if you do decidet o do it i would recommend buying a calculator and if you can really afford to push the boat the weighing scales....
 
The soups and shakes and bars and Tetras are very nice! I recomend buying 1 of every flavour because i have learned that everybody likes different things! most of the favours my councellor said she hated i loved! and there were a few i didn't like so it was worth tasting them all...i did the same with the bars once i could eat them and now i stick to my favourites
 
I stick with Tetra cartons and hot chocolate mint, tried them all and a few are nice I just find these work for me. Just experiment. :)
 
how exciting for you, you will lose your weight in no time. I personally think this diet is better than any others and I've tried them all!!

It is only hard if you make it that way. You have to be in the right 'mind' set. Take control of your life and say good bye to food for a temporary period and dont cheat. This will make it a LOT harder for you. Good luck!!! :D
 
I find it easy to be honest. However, if you socialise a lot I guess it can be hard.

My fav is the choc tetra (ready made drink) and the bars (malt toffee, chocolate and orange).

I'm not keen on hte packet shakes/soups tbh.

I've gone from a 20 to a 12 in 12 weeks and feel amazing! Still got 2 stone to go but I should lose that within 2-3 months!
 
i found on ww i got too obbsessed with food and so i didnt like it. im more of a savoury person so i prefer having a shake for brekie then 2 soups. my faves are spicy tomato and oriental chilli :)
