Is there anywhere I can compare LL V CD?

    You can find out all the info about each plan from the websites. There are a lot of people on both plans on this forum but each of their experiences are individual to them and meet whatever needs they have...looking at the sites will help you to decide exactly what you think would be most suitable for you...

    What is it you really want to know???

    I started on LL and swapped to CD.

    1. There is less flavour choice on LL - but I believe they are made by the same manufacturer (someone will correct me if that's wrong!) CD flavours - 5 soups, 9 shakes, 2 tetras and 6 bars.
    2. Price - this is the biggy!!! CD is about £32.55 per week for 21 sachets - LL is about double that. (not sure of exact amount)
    3. LL have 4 sachets a day (but is equal to 3 CD sachets) - CD (unless you are a man or over 5' 8" tall) have 3
    4. CD do tetras, mix a mousse as extras
    5. LL requires you to have a medical form signed by the Doctor and you go back every 4 weeks to get your blood pressure checked.
    6. CDC complete a medical form and unless there are any health issues raised whilst completing a Dr's permission is not required. Add a meal is on week 5 which negates the need for a blood pressure check.
    7. Most CDC's see you on a 1:1 basis although some are now doing groups - LL only do groups.
    8. LL claim to do cognitive behaviour therapy - CDC don't ..... although they may have counselling skills of there own.
    Hope I've summarised it ok - and have facts right!

    Wow Thanks Beverly, I think you more or less covered it!!

    So nutritionally there isn't much between the two, the big thing seems to be more in the way of counselling on LL and less in the way of flavours.

    I have vivid and horrible memories of CD in the laste 1980s where I found myself eating tomato soup for breakast but I am thinking its gotta have changed since then :D

    Thanks Diva, have had a good read but wanted peope who have tried it's opinions - have to say there probably aren't THAT many that have done both tho, are there!!

    Don't diet anymore!
    I have done both and lost loads of both plans.

    Personally I think they are both absolutely brilliant and whichever you decide on then I wish you fun while getting skinny.

    Long live the VLCD ;-)

    I've done have a lot of people's pretty strange. LL used to be quite cheap (£45 ish) but then suddenly went up to £66!! so a lot of people swapped over to CD at roughly £32.55 a week.....

    LL is great if you get the use out of the CBT, but Cambridge is better for the flavours etc.:D

    I've done LT and CD and basically work the same. Feel the same on it. Just the taste is different.

    CD is far superior in taste and presentation than LT (which isnt LL of course)

    Just me experience.

    CD is also the cheapest of the 3. And LT offers very little in way of counselling/therapy. Comes bottom 3 on that score...

    I've done both too. The counselling on LL can be useful for some, but the flavours on CD are definitely better!
