Hello passionate dieters!
I've been on the Atkin's diet for a month now. I'm still in the Induction period because I've been losing weight slowly but steadily and I like it that way. I've lost a total of almost 8 pounds in three weeks, the last week I didn't lose much.
My usual breakfast is: 2 (fried/boiled/poached) eggs, 1 cup of unsweetened soy milk with instant espresso and two teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and sometimes Splenda.
Lunch: Smoked Salmon salad with creme fraiche or any other salad.
Dinner: Well, either the leftover salad with some solid proteins like fish, chicken or eggs. It's usually salad with meat.
My mom's an amazing sub-continental cook so I enjoy Tandooris and spicy curries on a daily basis! (They're all pretty low in carb btw)
I don't snack very much as I'm usually full between the meals, but whenever I crave for solids, I immediately grab my bottle of water, which indeed is always in reach and full of fresh water. Keeping a bottle, even at home, helps me a great deal to track my water intake...and for some weird reason, I like water of the bottle better than from a cup...hmm.
I do sometimes buy one Atkin's bars from the supermarket.
Tip: If you tend to overdo the Atkin's bars simply because they're quite damn yummy, then DON'T buy a whole pack, just buy one when you crave for it..pricey, I know but works!
I also do my exercise by going to the gym at least twice a week, which keeps me fit and awesome =D I enjoy Zumba, BodyShape, Pilates and sometimes Yoga; all are great ways to get your body moving. Highly highly recommended while you're dieting!
I will update or question whenever needed, but for that I need your comments and views!
