It's Now Or Never

Well done on that awesome loss Pinkie! WHAT a result!!!

As for the Star Wars thing, I don't really know WHY I haven't seen them to be honest. I'm no sci fi geek but I have seen a lot of films and I definitely remember my brother watching them when I was little and we usually used to watch everything together so I don't get how they passed me by. I also used to religiously watch the Ewoks cartoon when I was younger... Of course not having watched them makes me an inferior film fan in the eyes of many people and I do feel like I miss out on a lot of references to things in popular culture! I just don't think I would enjoy them if I watched them now though so don't think I will bother unless I get invited to some kind of Star Wars party.

I enjoy that banner that you had flown around. Did you arrange that? How do you arrange for something like that?!

And how cute is the wee teddy in bed??! Aww!!! xxxx

Hi Jules, and thanks. The banner - a bunch of supporters off of one of our fanzine sites all stuck fiver/tenner in each. Then it was just a case of booking the plane. Comedy genius, and the timing couldn't have been better. Anyhoo.....

I have just eaten a Cadburys Dairy Milk, whole bar for 10 syns! I also felt like I wanted something hot, so went downstairs and got a baked potato with baked beans and had half my salad with that. I'll have the other half later, which has 5 syns for the humous. I'm a bit stuffed now lol And I haven't even started on the liquorice and mint tea yet.

Was supposed to be having my lentil soup tonight, but will prob be too tired and just collapse in a heap somewhere instead.

Either way - I've had all my syns, all my HEb. So just HEa to go (which in fairness would go beautifully on top of my lentil soup, especially by the time I'd mixed in some chopped ham.........

Ohhhh wow, now Dairy Milk sounds like a real treat and 10 syns really isn't that bad. Is that for a standard bar that you get from the shop or is it a mini one or something?

I just had lentil soup for my lunch, made it myself and it was rubbish! So bland tasting, all my soup tastes bland, I need to get better at soup. Still got a big pan ful of lentil to eat this week!

That's part of the reason I add ham, plus make it with 3 or 4 veggie stock cubes.

It was a 205g bar. We have been given a mountain of chocolate, snacks etc by one of our buyers. The barstards! In the past 4 years we get sod all. Now I'm on a sodding diet we get bagfuls of the stuff. I suppose the alcofrol buyer will also turn up now with all that cider I was promised years ago......

Hey Saddle Bags, thank you and welcome to Chez Pinkie. :)

Star week does make a massive difference, for me anyway. And I sometimes think it can take a week or two for good AND bad weeks to show through. So, I reckon if you keep doing what you are, then it will start paying off. It's just keeping the motivation when it has slowed down, hey? What about exercise, do you do any? My losses have definitely improved for doing these little runs anyway. I will go find your diary and have a read through.

So today's food. Well I didn't really eat anything at lunchtime, because I was soooooooo tired. Did my week 6, day 1 and REALLY struggled. Think I left it too late in the day. But after I'd done my hours, I fell asleep for nearly 3 hours, only waking as the kids were coming out of school, meaning I drove like a nutter to the school, worrying my little boy would be left stranded (he wasn't, he was last out, as usual). I think it must be the running that's tiring me. Swimming doesn't have this effect, but then I'm much more used to it. Anyhoo, my food....

Thanks Pinkie,

I don't have a food diary of my own, I just read everyone elses and comment on there!

I know if I stick to it this week again I will have a good loss next week it is disheartening when you think you've done good only for a smack in the chops with a gain!

I don't really do much exercise which I know doesn't help. I tend to use the excuse of 'don't really have time'. I work full time, like most people do and with running the kids here there and everywhere I run out of 'me' time. I do like to walk though and as often as I can, 2-3 times a week I take my daughter to a dam near us, we walk round, feeds the ducks and she has an ice cream (not for me!!), it's about a mile round but to be honest I haven't been once this week. I do set my alarm for half 6 ish every morning with the intention of getting up to do my Cindy Crawford DVD but getting out of bed is proving a struggle, its a vicious circle of being knackered but if I were fitter, by doing my dvd, I wouldn't be as knackered and would be able to get my sorry ass out of bed.

Right, before bed tonight I will:

take my kids out for a walk round the dam
prepare a sw chilli for tomorrows tea
prepare pack ups for kids and hubbies dinner for tom
get dvd and training gear out ready

So, tomorrow morning I will:

Get my fat arse out of bed and do dvd!

Thank you for motivation, you're doing so well and I know you must be more pushed for time than me as you're on your own with your little one. I will stop being a lazy cow!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ha ha I didn't do anything! That dam sounds cool though, I bet your daughter loves that. I need to do more active stuff with my little one. I've told him we're going cycling on Sunday morning. It had better not rain. My losses have def increased for boosting exercising, so keep at it - and keep trying new things! :) x

Update - the dairy milk was not 200g more like 25g. But it was 200 calories. I have snaffled one as a treat for Thursday too. It is hiding in my drawers lol Snuck off early tonight seeing as no one who cares was there by that point. Get to see my wee bairn a bit earlier. Yay!

Further update: lentil soup is going down a treat. I chopped up lots of ham AND added wholemeal pasta shells. It's a bit hot though......

Glad u are enjoying your soup, it sounds so much tastier than mine!! I made it with ham cubes this time hoping that would make a difference but it hasn't done much. Think the problem might be that the leeks and onions just now don't seem to have much flavour, im blamin that anyway!!

Urgh I feel ill. The soup was delish! Add some salt n pepper at the beginning of cooking, you need less that way to bring out the flavoured. I had berries and yoghurt for pud - think my eyes were too big for my belly. But I forgot to take fruit in with me today, so really fancied some....... Off to read the Hobbit.

Yummy I like the sound of these lentil soups. What else goes in them other than lentils, onion, leek and ham? I feel like you Maverick, I need soup practice! Mmmm, I am going to look for a lovely summery soup recipe to try out.

I just made it up as I went along to be honest - used up all sorts of veg from fridge, seasoning, veggie ido cubes, a load of red lentils and a couple of tins of beans (whatever knocking about). I have now finished the last batch though, so I'm due some more.

Did run this morn, hoorah - went really well, now got to do 25 mins this Sat!!! Taking bairn swimming after school to, so will feel rather virtuous tonight. It's another Chilli, SW wedges and salad night, only just had breakfast, so will prob just have fruit for lunch. Or I might not, we shall see...... Lol

Oh Jules it was gorgeous, and I had nearly a whole bag of salad with it too.

Food today....

Breakfast:
Banana before run.
Mixed fruit, natural yoghurt and branflakes (HEb).

Lunch:
2 apples and a banana. 2 alpen light bars (7 syns).

Dinner:
Chilli, SW potato wedges, grated cheese (HEa + 6 syns), salad leaves.

Comfortably full and I'm treating myself to a go on the dishwasher. Best get some ironing done and prepare tomorrow's lunches soon though. Trying to catch up on a load of bike racing (bike porn!) :)

I wrote a reply to your last post ages ago and it's not showing... I was curious as to what treating yourself to a go on the dishwasher was??? Some innuendo I haven't heard of??!! xx

Lol no - purely an exercise in economy. I get to only use it now when I have guests over, but tonight I had an 'oh sod it' moment and treated myself. The tablets are so expensive!

Huddersfield went through, am gutted for Bournemouth.

Oh and it seems that I have now lost some of my boobs. Bit worried its the running....
