Have you noticed that sometimes an item of food...which you think will be low sys... turns out to be higher than you thought

ie: quakers oats so simple. Raspberry.. 6.5 syns.:eek::eek:

I nearly had a glass of Innocent Rasberry and Cranberry smoothie last night. Other half said 'well it's all fruit and nothing added so it must be free' glad I double checked on website...it worked out about 6 syns for a short tumbler full!

I had a tiny chocolate pud at the Harvester. When I got the nutritional value off their website, it turned out to be 49 syns  No wonder I STS that week :D

Hmm. I often wonder whether the syn values on some things that are really bad for you aren't artificially jacked-up in order to discourage us from eating them, if you see what I mean.

LOL...a syn conspiracy theory. Oooh I like that!

Noooo, nothing that sinister! :giggle: It just occurred to me a while ago that it wouldn't be too hard for them to massage certain syn values to discourage us from eating seriously naughty things, that's all. :) Must be getting paranoid in my old age. :8855:

Kitty-anne...I think an ordinary KK is 10 syns! I think that's worth it TBH! I wouldn't have one very often, but as a treat every now and again, I think that's a syn bargain.

Mmm.... donuts! </Homer Simpson>

FWOARGH!

I've not usually got a sweet tooth, but I can make an exception for KKs.

They've got them right next to the entrance at my local tesco, which is just evil!

Now 10 syns isn't bad i thought they would be a million each at least

thats only like 2 bags of special K minis!!!!! shame i don't really like donuts but the KK i had was delish couldn't eat many of them in one go though!!!

so why are bagals sooooooooooooo HIGH!!!!

HellieCopter, that's food porn, that is! :gimi:

I know  sorry!!

I'm not sure why bagels are so high. They're around 200 cals and about 0.2 saturated fat, which isn't too bad I think.
It's probably because they're all super-refined white flour, which isn't good for energy release and stuff...

They are so lovely though! My favourite hangover remedy is a plain bagel with bacon and a fried egg! My lovely OH does them for me sometimes if we've had a skinful the night before, but I count the 11 syns :)
