Jack Link's Beef Steak Bites

Not sure if these are dukan friendly like beef jerky but they are 3 for £1.20 at Approved foods at the minute.

Jack Link's Meat Snacks - Products: Beef Steak Bites ORIGINAL, Beef Steak Bites TERIYAKI, low calorie, low fat, contain protein, healthy beef snack

I tried some today, they are very tasty, chewy but not as hard as beef jerky.

The fat content seems fine but the carbs are rather high - it may also have too much salt used in the 'cure'. also I think biltong is now a tolerated on the official site ?

I personally found it slowed loss, so much as I loved biltong had it v occasionally on cruise as a snack. You could always make your own!

Jerky tends to have a slightly higher carb level than biltong - it has more sugar, to keep it "moist".

The Teriyaki and Sweet/Hot varieties have the highest sugar level.

That said, I've eaten both once or twice travel snacks without problems...

How do you make your own?

How do you make your own?

Well you have to start with a cow....

Seriously, it's very hard to do because you have to air dry the marinated meat for a long time in controlled conditions - get it wrong and the meat is spoiled.

good to know! I will make sure to snack on these every so often...
