(I must admit though, I probably earn more as a secretary, hour for hour, than the professionals at my place!) At least I can leave when the "bell rings"...

Joanne - as you know, a good secretary deserves all the respect of her (or his?) team - and in a good company gets it.

It was a great ego and career boost to go from secretary to copy-writer, but the hours were long and I was treated like an intern all over again.

Which is why I stepped sideways back in a PA role after a few years!
