Garygirl... I'm sorry to hear you are feeling bad.

Did your LLC give you her mobile number? I hope so because this is exactly the time they are there to support you.... go on give her a call if you can. I am sure she will have some good words of support for you to mull over and tips on how to get through it!

Good luck and I really hope you get through this hard moment!!

GGF - Sorry you are feeling low. I really have been thinking "what is the point" for a large majority of this week. I really didn't think it was possible for me to even make it to day 10. You need to look at why you are doing this - and have a big think about whether it is worth it for you. I know it is for me, which is why I made my scrapbook with goals in - to have to look at when I'm trying to go for the kitchin.

The reality it - if it is worth it for you, if the light at the end of the tunnel is bright enough for you - then you have to get through the bad days. There will be better ones. There will probably be worse ones. It will take everything you have, but those times you feel like letting this go, just take a second before throwing in the towel to think.

If you decide that it isn't worth it - then that's your answer.

But I think everyone on here has got to the stage of starting the VLCD because it IS.

I'm sorry if any of that sounds harsh. It's how I am with myself when I get to the point you are at - and normally it works.

But know I am here for you, and the others on this thread are too. If you need any "extra" support you are more than welcome to PM me for me email.

GGF really sorry you are feeling so bad, please bear in mind that are not feeling well and this is just an isolated incident and hopefully you will be feeling better tomorrow with reknewed determination, but if you are feeling no better I would try and speak to your LLC for reasurance. GGF, totally understand where you're at because I was there a couple of days ago. You will get over it, honestly. Please please keep going, you're worth going through your current discomfort to get to who you want to be.

GGF I can only agree with what everyone else has said and hang in there. Use your LLC, that's what she's there for. First time round I was exactly like that and had to call her a number of times in the first couple of weeks. She was more than helpful and really supportive.

Gary Girl - Sorry to hear that you are having a tough time, I think we've all had our bad days so far, and I'm sure we will all have a few more. Some really good advice from everyone.

GGF Stick with it

You CAN do it.Fish and chips will always be there.
All the reasons you decided to do LL are still there aren't they?
Has anything changed? This is something YOU can do for yourself.After a very short time your self esteem and confidence will increase and you will feel in control.
That will enable you to keep going.
Don't think about how far you've got to go. Set yourself small goals to achieve.
This time last year I hadn't started LL, now I've reached my goal and am learning how i'm going to maintain my new weight/size.
Everything else in my life has improved too.
You can do it too. The week-ends are the hardest at first.

GGF, I agree weekends are definately the hardest. Traditionally they are times for kicking back, relaxing, socialising and for "treats" which for many people (myself included) meant eating and drinking what the heck I wanted. I admit that sometimes it's hard not to feel resentful of other people who are still doing this. But as SB says, think of the reasons you decided to do LL in the first place. They will still be there when you're done and you will be empowered to know that you are in control and you can have those fish and chips, or you might not even want them!

Doh! Are we supposed to be reducing the "X to lose" bit in line with the weekly loss?
 
No, I think that's where I messed up. I thought we had to do that then I realised that that was our target goal and we had to do a bit in between saying how much we'd lost at last WI.
Unless I've got that kerfuddled again?!
 
Help anyone!!!!!!

My stomach is making some very weird noises all the time. I just keep telling myself that it is just turning fat into energy. Does anyone what it is actually doing? It's not so bad when I am at home with the OH as he finds it quite amusing but it can be really loud sometimes so I am worried that it might happen at work. And then I would be really embarrased!!

Any help would be appreciated.

No idea about the tummy grumbles SB. :D Does a coffee or water not quieten them?

My weigh in this morning, 6lb lost and full ketosis which I am pleased with. I was only hoping for 5 actually as I've been cutting carbs and excess fats since New Year so was already on the way to it.

sorry was just adjusting my goal weight as I see you are supposed to leave your initial goal as it was.
 
wow I am so hungry today! I got through the whole of the first week pretty much avoiding full hunger but today and last night... well hopefully it will sort it'self out

I'm a bit worried that I have knocked myself out of ketosis by having some psyllium husk captules, (6 in two days, could have had up to 12) so I'm laying off them.

just have to be strong!
