January challenge - new year new commitment

I know what you're saying Daz. But I think you were careful to make the coding that orange with red writing. And its not like a red cross in your school book I feel, its merely a mechanism to enable one to extract data from the sheet more carefully.
You can't please everyone, and you're doing us all a massive favour- so if you need colour coding to help keep things up to date so be it.
Its the same as the little plus sign recorded in our books on WI for a gain, or the having to update the statistics on the panel on the left (personally thats the worst part for me) but these are all tools that we use to help monitor our weight, and if we didn't want to monitor it then we wouldn't be getting on the scales each week!

Exacerly. ;) The only thing that was bugging me was that i didn't have it set to ignore absences, but now i have so there will be no need for an empty box anywhere by the end of the month. But also, someone commented the other day about how just seeing the info was enough for them, god knows how i kept on top of it. That made me think that colours break it down and make it easier to read. So colours we have. And those pinks/reds, just be determined not to get one.

Love your bit "Then I sort of ate a KitKat Chunky." Did make me chuckle.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing it on the phone app??

When I click on it this is what it looks like... 1388952060091.jpg
When I zoom in to see mine it looks like this... 1388952088806.jpgI can't read it at all :(

Im afraid that is a site issue and not one with the sheet. I have no idea what their phone app can and cannot do.

If this is a problem for many people, then perhaps i can set up some form of email concept, where it can be emailed to Your phone instead of trying to see it on the app? Let me know.

I can't read it on the app either, I just use my PC when I want to view it.

I am guessing the file is just too big for the app to cope with.

Right, slight modification to the sheet. Look for the colour coding at top of sheet when you click it out.

Basically, gains and losses are now seen instantly via red and blue, a maintain/sts is also blue (personally i think not putting on weight is a success just as much as losing is).
Reaching target is still yellow, but now there is an absent (black) and a pulled out (red).

Doing this has allowed me to add/alter some formulas. Now the stats for % attendance will always be correct even if people don't turn up and i enter a value for them (zero).

Any thoughts or suggestions please feel free to let me know.

i think it looks fantastic, I am new to the challenges and struggled before to work out the losses and gains but these are now very clear (still annoyed that I have a red start, blues all the way for me now!). Thanks for all the time and effort you have put in to design this it is appreciated and a huge motivator when you see the possible weight loss we could achieve as a group!! :D

Thank You. Shall be busy for a bit though while i just try and sort out the whole structure of mobile phone apps. :8855:

Daz I can view the spreadsheet posted above and I'm on Iphone. Seems to be fixed? X

No, its not working on mine either. It is an issue with what the phone and the browser can handle. My galaxy cant, Your iphone can. Think this could cause a whole new argument. lol.

I can't get over how much of a combined weight it is! Wouldn't it be fantastic if it was achieved :D
